Good win. EBA was not rocking tonight. Small crowd and very little noise other than the Green. Machine. Very sloppy play in first half , turnovers , Bad 3 PT defense and back cut city for Cornell. On the bright side I think we can play with anybody on offense, if Tony can get these guys. to play D the sky is the limit. Bottom line 9-0 woo hoo.

Hard to pick a surprise of the season so far since so many guys are stepping up and playing above my expectations. With that said, it might be Malik Presley. If you told me that he’d be starting at this point in the season, I’d have thought we’d be closer to 0-9 than 9-0. He showed tonight that he is more than just a defensive / glue guy. A well deserved highlight in the post-game interview with Bill and Chris.
Presley may be one of my favorite guys on this roster. Way underrated defender, he makes guys lives hell when he locks in. So long, and doesn’t force it offensively. Really good to see him turn it around here at Mason after a tough break in the P5. Mincy and long are our stars this year, but Presley feels like our X factor. Bonus that he just looks like he’s having so much fun every time he’s on the floor.

Yes, D can be taught. Scoring can't.
We are light years ahead of where we have been in terms of scoring.

They finally locked in on D starting at 52-50 and extended the lead out to 18 at one point and then just kind of coasted from there. I’m sure Tony will have words with them about it.

The student section was dead. I remember looking towards them after a few plays and there was nothing. No emotion, no noise. There needs to be some outreach done to teach them some chants, some boos, count clock downs at 5 when there's 9 seconds left, and to yell bu!!shit in unison repeatedly when the refs make a really bad call.

They cannot be acting like this when history is being made literally each game. 9-0, make some f'ing noise!

is that as counted thru the turnstiles or season tix plus online and walkup sales?

It's my understanding that the announced attendance includes all tickets sold for the game (i.e., all season tickets, all applicable partial season ticket plans, and the single-game tickets) plus complimentary tickets used.

I've also been told that this number may not be precise.

Agreed. I would also say that its probably more precise (but still probably some human error) now because tickets are scanned and have been since like 2005.

: in old man voice: In my day at the Patriot Center, I had to rip and count tickets by hand (like the first year or two I was there working).
