On TV you couldn't hear any of it, sadly. It’s happening and I was pumped, but crowd didnt flow thru.

Yeah it seemed loud in EBA but not sure how it came through on TV. Regardless it was a great time.

Definitely sounded like the crowd popped during that segment. I then heard some 66 west 81 south chanting towards the end of the game.

I listened to the Game on the the on-line stream, and it also seemed as if no one was in the stands. Issues of Mason's home crowd noise have been present since the arena first opened in 1985. (I was at the first game, against Maryland.) The arena was built like an Eighties professional arena , and it sounds just like that: sound travels up and out of the arena.

There was holiday hangover on the first half that had to be worked out but they found their gears in the second half and eventually pulled away...against the highest ranked kenpom team on the schedule thus far.

Anyone watching on TV, what did they say about the tech call on Tony? Seemed like maybe he was trying to get the team fired up, but hard to tell what actually happened. Tony got up in that refs face though!

They were setting some hard screens and in half 1 we had no idea how to defend off them which led to some ole baskets.

In the second half we were much quicker to recover and make them do something when they couldn’t. There was one screen set in front of the JMU bench that led to a three where our guy definitely got hip checked.

The tech helped us come back in the game and win. The refs really tighten up after it and that got us into the bonus with like 12 min left.

I wouldn’t think Mason fans sold out but maybe brought a friend that had JMU ties. I don’t want opposing fans there but this way they got to see the loss up close.

I like that Tony is advocating for getting JMU on the schedule every year. Get more Virginia teams on the schedule and watch attendance rise. It's a simple short term solution to get people in the stadium.

First game I could not attend live, I watched the replay on ESPN +. The D in the first half was not very good, the second half was much better. Good win on a night Kory was off on his 3 PT shooting, Troutman, Hill and Allenspach picked it up on offense. We r definitely more athletic with Hill in the lineup. He also is our best driver to the basket. Like a few others said I couldn't t hear the crowd on +. I can't wait to see the team live on tuesday.
