Nightmare is way way way too strong. In fact it's silly. Mason finally had back to back winning seasons in the A-10. I like Booker and especially Kanga. Keep some guys around and next year could be fun.

I haven’t watched much this year but I noticed in this game and SBU last week they didn’t have an answer when things got tight and just gave it to Mincy. I thought maybe SBU just knew how to play them after losing to them twice. But Liberty? Was it that one dimensional during the first 20 games and Mincy came through or did they have a better game plan?

Class of 2028 here. Honestly disappointing to see a couple players who clearly don't care at all and hope coach tells them they can look elsewhere this offseason for somewhere else to play (Allenspach, Troutman as well but I think he's done anyways). The team ended in a postseason but would rather have not lost to that disgusting institution in Lynchburg and their bigoted fanbase.

Didn't Riley make 2nd Team All Conference? Yes, he needs to improve defensively, but definitely disagree with the "doesn't care" assessment. Hey, GMU is at least not experiencing the .500 and way under conference seasons of a few years ago. Buy yeah, it was frustrating to watch Liberty play better than Mason after the score was tied up.

I'll comment on two aspects from tonight:

1. Basketball. Once again we got down early and it was too much to overcome. It was clear some on the team cared and others did not. I found it very interesting that Stas, Kanga, and Booker were in the game when it mattered most. At least they seemed to care, played hard, and put forth effort. I hope all 3 stick around.

2. I now have a fan base I hate more than vcu. I realize that the two Liberty fans sitting directly behind me may not represent what Liberty is supposed to embody but when they called our players "apes" on 3 occasions and that we played "jungle ball" on 2 occasions that sh&t doesn't fly with me. When we lost my friend offered a handshake to the two behind us for the win and the response was to challenge him to a fight. Classless and clueless. I will forever HATE Liberty.

I am sorry you experienced that. I regret that you did not meet the dozens of fine young people I know who are alumni or are on staff there.
Yes, what you experienced was inexcusable. No question. And no defense for it.

At the start of the game I loudly said " I don't see how any self respecting Black person could play for or attend Jerry Falwell University". The Liberty fans sitting next to me got up and moved - without saying a word .
