Kyle Lofton and Courtney Stockard buried us last game (really, mostly Kyle Lofton). Control those two and force the rest of the team (who aren't nearly as good) beat us.

Also, can we not try to post up Reuter against Osun, please? That was painful to watch last game.

Winners in 7 of their last 8. 4 of those wins came by 20+ points, including a beat down at our house. Yikes.

We played awful today, so it's not like we're due for a dud. That and we didn't have Calixte last time. I'm cautiously optimistic we keep it pretty close the whole way but end up losing when our legs give out. I do think we'll have to let Greg play some one on one defense though, otherwise their guards will put us six feet under from the arc.

We're going to get absolutely waxed if we play like we did today. Pray they have an off day and don't light it up in Barclays like they do at home.

Our offense wasn’t great today. At one point near the end the announcers said we had missed 13 layups and Otis was 3 for 15. Hopefully now that we got a game under our belt we shoot better tomorrow. GW is not a good team but I thought our defense was decent.
Last time we played the Bonnies we were really banged up. Tomorrow I think we play them tighter and hopefully can squeak out the win.
I though URI looked pretty good today I’d love to see them knock off vcu tomorrow.

Mason wins dont ask me how. vcu will beat Rhode island and all Otis and the team is gonna want is a rematch after they got waxed at home on senior night.

How bad does Otis want it will determine if we win or not. 4-16 today and missing that critical FT at the end isn't the way to go out Otis. It'd probably be way better if the players did lean on him so heavily but he's our only senior.

Bonaventure is a 3 point favorite, 131 over/under.

Damn, that is a very favorable line for us. I thought we'd be 7- or 8-point dogs. My hunch is that a lot of money is going to be put on the Bonnies, which is probably the best thing we have going or us.

Agreed. That line is fishy. Wouldn’t be surprised to see at 5 or 6 by tip-off.

Interesting series this year. They beat us easily, we beat them easily. They struggled early season and went on a run, we did the opposite. A lot of that had to do with what competition we faced, when. Mason and the Bonnies matched up similarly to many A10 teams. It is hard to say how this one will go and a Kenpom differential of 1pt says stats back that up.

We certainly were not at full strength when they blew us out and, on paper, look more now like the team who beat them easily in January.

I love our chances if Otis gets out of his funk tomorrow. Kier will ride today's momentum. Miller got through the first- conference-tournament jitters and will be more himself tomorrow. Calixte will get his. He and JR played less than 20 min each in the first matchup and combined for 16 and 14. Hartwell is a better player than he was back then. Not sure about Greene in this one (ineffective in both regular-season gamesl, but that doesn't matter if Otis is back (not even Junior Year Otis, just 13ppg Otis who limits turnovers and shoots at a decent percentage).

It all comes down to Otis. I really feel for the guy. As a Mason fan since 1995, Otis is not on my Mt. Rushmore and I don't view him as an Evans, Thomas, Butler, Lewis, Skinn, Campbell, or even a Long or a Wright. But I have nothing but good feelings for what he did for Mason and really wish he had finished his career with his best Mason season. Snapping out of whatever has been going on at this crucial moment would, hopefully, help him feel good about his senior campaign.

They struggled early season because almost half of their points per game weren't playing....Missed Griffin and Stockard up until our first meeting pretty much... gelled together and went on a damn good run... hoping we can beat them tomorrow. will vomit if I have to watch Reuter go at Osunnnyi again

3.5 now, and 129 over/under (Vegas Insider).

I feel Javon is due for a big game, as it has been a while.

Don’t know if it’s a good thing or bad, but Reuter wasn’t even looking to score when he caught the ball yesterday. I think he only took one shot and it was a reverse layup that got stuffed by the GW stiff Langarica.

Calixte didn’t fare much better, strangely. I thought it was one of his least effective offensive games.

Beyond the bigs, though, the guards need to be smarter about attacking Osunnyi. Gotta look to dish the ball instead of thinking they can get all the way to the rim and getting their sh!t repeatedly pushed in.

big game today. quite possibly our biggest game of the season sans the Dayton win earlier this season.

I like our chances. shut down Stockard and their big man, and we should do just fine.

Mason by 8.
