I know it's heresy on this forum, but I remember telling my wife during the Dave Paulson days, that the team sucked but they never seemed to quit. Paulson had them playing hard even while losing. And I do remember being really happy with some of the hard fouls we used to give in the paint back then. If Kanga acts like A.J. used to, "I own the paint", and he fouls out of every game, I'd be happy. Just make em fouls that matter - no and 1's.

Time for this team to nut up and let other teams know they are in for a battle even if we play the remaining games without our offensive players.
They never gave up but I don’t ever remember scrums or hard fouls of frustration. The worst was Norfolk State when their dudes were flying around the court like they owned the place.

If anyone has watched multiple Dayton games, is there anyone you have seen gets in his head too much?? Student section would love to pick a villain again to target and get in his head all game

This is also a game that if they can channel their inner Team 59 and turn this into a grind it out half court battle they will win. Dayton thrives on generating their offense off turnovers. Win the turnover battle, probably win the game.

Bennett would be ideal to heckle.

However....Their 7 foot big man, L'Etang is just a sophomore so he's a young pup to go after and try and break. He's from France which you can have a field day of jokes.

Examples...1. France kicked him out of their country for being too big and dumb for their soccer teams, relegated him to their 10th favorite sport of basketball. 2. Looks like Lurch from Addams Family. Can have a field day on how big, ugly and slow he looks. 3. Chewing bubblegum and walking at the same time must be hard for him.

Need to watch a whole bunch of clips of players delighting in what is known in soccer as shithousery: exhibit a KD.
Yep. Europeans and North Americans are fine, but the SAs and African nations make it infuriating to watch.

Damn, discussions about coaching changes, league changes, old coaches, old players. It's almost like off season is here already. Fingers crossed that we can pull this Dayton game off, we sure need a shot of good fortune. I'll be there and as loud as ever. Sorry Spike and those near me who still think EBA is a library.

The last time Mason played Dayton, GMU completely shut down Dayton. We had a 20 point lead for most of the game on the road in UD Arena! UD Arena was quiet for a lot of the game. GMU won the game 67-59!

Not much faith tonight. Cant beat GW w/out Castro and loss to UR still a huge mountain to overcome, imo. Hopefully the defense shows up. Troutman too.

Looking back on it, GW is one of those teams where if you keep the game close, you have a good chance to win late because their coaching and leadership can be questionable down the stretch. But if you let them build a big lead, they are good enough to manage the game and hold you off. They have talented players, and they did spend $5 million putting the roster together.

Rhode Island just beat Saint Louis, so even if they are not a top team, they are capable of winning games.

There is no excuse for the Richmond game. That was a horrible performance with no effort and just an overall pathetic showing.

Duquesne is also a solid team, even if the results have not fully reflected it.

Dayton is another team that can go either way. However if the game is close late I expect a win, but if they get out to a big lead, it is usually very difficult to come back.
