I'll bite. JB has been a great infusion on offense the last few games. He seems to just about be there defensively as well, but you can see they don't completely trust him on that side of the ball yet. Even last game there were a few possessions where Zach and others had to cover for him and re-direct him on some screens where he didn't seem to be on the same page as far as switching/hedging/fighting through. Like I said he's getting there and has shown a willingness to take a charge and put his body on the line, but it's clear CTS values defense first (Even Darius has been sitting in crunch time lately) and will give minutes to the guys he knows are going to be locked in on that side of the ball.

Generally O’Connor is just a more versatile defender overall — better rebounder, can guard more positions, etc.

And we are talking about our 3rd leading scorer who has been in double digits in 7 of our last 9 games.

I honestly like the overall roles and rotations. Having Begg as a 9 man who can play with either KD or O’Connor as a secondary ballhandler a luxury. He’s getting valuable experience playing meaningful minutes right now without a lot of pressure to produce, which is probably helping his confidence.

Just based on the attendance bump we had that day. I'd say they brought in about a thousand fans. They might not all have been bussed in, some were likely just local alumni. I believe that game is our highest attended game this season.

Mason has been awful since the 8 day hiatus and very lucky not to be 6-3.

We're need to play eons better on the better on the offensive side on the ball, step on the opponents necks and decisively close out games with consistent double digit wins before I feel that way.

I agree, but Mason has been the better team each night. They let off the gas with 5 minutes left in each game.

These stubHub tickets are a joke. They recently upped their "processing fee." For two tickets at $18 each, they wanted $30 in fees, so $36 in tickets were about $70 after fees and tax.

Ticketmaster first sell tickets were cheaper ($51.95) for two tickets than comparable tickets in the same section, and even two rows closer to the court.

So much for the congressional action that went after exorbinant fees. And so much for my previous affinity for Stubhub.

I wouldn't say that, exactly. At the close of both the LoChi And Davidson games, in some ways, Mason forgot how to score to put those teams away. But did you see how in both games the refs forgot how to call fouls?

At home vs. LoChi during the last two minutes, Brayden was hacked and smacked whenever he got near the basket. He had to come out of the game because he got popped in the face on a drive and layup attempt—no fouls called. One could see that he was enormously frustrated when he came out of the game.

At Davidson with about 45 seconds remaining, KD was mauled by his defender trying to commit an intentional foul to send KD to the line—no fouls called.

Letting off on the gas?? Nah. But, yes, Mason does need to find a better way to close out teams before that stuff happens.
