I don't know if anyone mentioned it, but today's game was the 5th Chuck Cooper Classic. Cooper was a former Duquesne player who was the first African-American player drafted in the NBA (1950 by the Boston Celtics).

Nobody who said "tide is turning" or "going on a run" was being serious, except maybe El Presidente, but that doesn't count. Don't get all serious when people are finally having some fun. And, actually some people are rooting for 0-16 because they believe it will force a coaching change. I'm not one of those people, but I get it.
I wanted to type "looks like things are starting to turn around" to tweak EXpatriot13, but he anticipated. I'm happy for the W, though.

Look I think we're a long way from success. We are 8-15. The remaining games are more about trying to get to "near" .500. I want us to try to win every game. Realistically? Probably 12-18 or 13-17. We had a down year. However, I think we'll regroup in the offseason and develop a better chemistry now that he has more of his guys. I expect the NIT or an NCAA bid from Coach Hewitt in 2015. Anything less will be a failure.

Tom--I do hope you're getting better, but I do think you need to stay in the hospital through Wednesday night at least until 9:30 or so.

I would if I thought it would help, but missed the Dayton game last week and that sadly didn't help.
