They did not do that today.

2nd game I was to catch live this season. Loved watching Otis play today. Appreciate Paulson's rotations, but wish Marko had more minutes. The team seems at their best when he is on the floor.

Man, what a game. I know this team is heading in the right direction because I don't feel dead inside after a loss like I did the last three years. I never would have imagined I could love a 10-win team this much.

That team just competed tooth and nails against a much better, more experienced, more talented team who is an at large team at the moment. And they had all FIVE freshmen in the rotation. Best game this year when you factor in the atmosphere in EBA (yes, there was actually an atmosphere). Great game, great crowd, just couldn't pull out the win in the last few minutes.

Likewise. I heard Paulsen say much the same after the game, particularly with respect to intensity, effort, and emotional maturity (the ability to overcome a bad spell). Hopefully we can continue along those lines and start executing better.

There were several times where Otis began to drive and Marquis was behind him on the perimeter, but since Marquis is not a threat to shoot, the defense was able to collapse on Otis and there was no point in Otis kicking it back to Marquis.

These refs need to learn what a travel is, GW got away with at least 5 of them. GW won because they hit a lot of free throws in a row. Their zone defense worked in spurts.

As someone in my section said, Paulsen has been T'ed more times than Larranaga did the entire time he was here. At one point, Paulsen danced to show what traveling is. After one aggressive play, one of Mason's players (I think it was Jenkins) high fived the mascot. All things we never saw under Hewitt (I know, bad comparison).

I agree with pretty much everything everyone said. My general .02.

Progress. The team took a nice step forward today. In order to compete in the A-10, they will have to have the energy, effort, and execution to play like that every game. I didn't walk out wondering what the hell happened for the first time in a few years, and I like that.

Didn't get a chance to watch the game live, but I really liked the effort today. Like I expected, we didn't have much of an answer for Cavanaugh, Larsen and Garino; but Larsen and Garino are gone next year...

Thought Shevon moved A LOT better today (has his foot finally gotten better?) Marko just makes this offense run better even when he's not scoring, smart choice to get him back into the starting lineup. This team can run a pretty good fastbreak, hopefully they can start forcing more turnovers to take advantage of that.

The question is, can they carry this kind of a game forward (even though they lost) to Richmond? That will be the sign of real progress.

Loved Danny Dixon as well. The kid played hard and stood his ground. Much improved in a very short time.

Good effort - experience just won out. A few lousy possessions down the stretch did Mason in.

Agreed, and I thought DP should have called a TO with about 2 min left when we had the ball. We had 2 to use and it was a critical possession. We ended up turning the ball over and then couldn't get any closer.
