Classic loss.

Well luckily, after the SJU game, I've reconciled my self to just 'cheering for the team' regardless of W or L so yeah as Phoneix said "At least this game was entertaining!" ......*barf*

I have been trying to just cheer for them for two season now...it never works for me. I do great initially, but if we're in it, I always get caught up and have my heart broken in the end. Well said "classic lose". Please share your secrets on staying detached.

I think it's important to point out like ExPat 13 said that we didn't score for 6 minutes against the 1-2-2. The end was a disaster, but there were other issues that got negated by a kind whistle.

I know we blew it in the final 30 seconds and our seniors both turned the ball over at critical moments, but the recurring theme of Hewitt's lack of in game adjustments continues. UMass switched to that 1-2-2 zone and we didn't score a FG for 6 minutes.

So you really think that Hewitt does not know how to run an offense designed for a 122. There were a couple of timeouts during that stretch, and he was not drawing boobs on his grease board. It is an effing zone ..... sometimes the players just need to run it correctly.

The 1-2-2 zone change made things interesting for sure, although it looked like Hewitt made some changes to account for it. I think the bigger question is what can we do to get the inbounding problem resolved...the kickball fun at the end was just, special.

Good point and why was Okoloji in the game when everyone in the building knew he would foul in that critical situation.

The funny part was Marko even emphasized not to foul before Okoloji entered.

I had minor problems with how Hewitt attacked the 3-2 (or 1-2-2) and using Holloway and Copes against it, but this loss is on the players.

Thanks Hewitt for putting in the worse basketball player on the team, Okajoke in the last five minutes of the game. He absolutely has no clue, yet Hewitt thinks he knows how to play defense. Let s face it this team continues to find ways to lose, and I believe coaching is a key part of this disastrous team. I give credit to Jenkins for his hard nosed play. Actually as good as Sherrod was earlier in the game he had a lot to do with the loss, two key missed free throws, and three missed shot in the last two minutes.
Cant wait to clean house and start all over again next year. Too bad we are not like the NFL we would clearly get the first pick in the draft.

It's a combo of Hewitt making adjustments and the players executing. Can't really tell if Hewitt actually made an adjustment and the players didn't execute it or he "made" an adjustment and it didn't do anything. Not scoring a FG for 6 minutes is a recurring theme for this team and is inexcusable. Not having any TO's at the end of the game is also a mistake....New Mexico alllll over again.

Again, I still don't know why Hewitt never tried putting CE on Chaz. Allen had no chance to stay in front of him, especially at the end of the game.

Did Sherrod get fouled on that last turnover? I saw 3 guys reaching in. Not sure if they bumped him or got him on reaching in or if it was just coughed up.
