Mixed night for the A10 overall:

Mason and Rhody both win.

Bonnie’s gave UNC a game but lose.

GW loses to Murray St by 1 (defense doesn’t look so great for them).

Loyola got blasted by Northern Iowa (they could be a bottom 2 team this year).

And in the meaningless game of the night St. Joes wins by 40 against non-D1 Rutgers-Camden.

Bonnies dropped from #114 to #121 with the loss. I'd guess that as well as they may have played, they didn't beat the spread.

You guys just don’t get it…

In the 17 seasons since I was a freshman, vcu has directly knocked us out of the conference tournament 6 times (including all 4 years that I was at Mason). In that same time span, we’ve gotten 1 at-large birth (and 0 conference tournament championships).

So what good has vcu's fortunes brought us? Personally, I’d love to see a weakening of their program so that we can enjoy some more victories over them, recruit better than them, attract better coaches than them, and most importantly stop losing young fans in the area to them. The powers that be don’t want the A-10 to be a multibid conference anyways. If you want to root for a strong A-10, fine. I’ll root for Dayton, SLU, pretty much anyone other than vcu.
