GIVING DAY 2023
They extended him a year or two ago, and considering what they paid out for Mojo Lonergan and Christian, I suspect he has some time.

That said I can’t imagine spending significant money and finishing mediocre went over well.

Is Chris Caputo at GW on the hot seat?
To my understanding he is not truly on the hot seat, but this upcoming year's results will be very important to his future. As was said above, spending a believed top 4 in the A-10 chunk of change and then finishing 8th and not making it to Saturday again was understandably not met with plaudits.

GW message boards not wildly upset. Some give him C grades, but others point out Kenpom progress:

"GW has improved every year under CC:
2022 (year before Chris' arrival): 226
2023: 217
2024: 203
2025: 128
2026 84"

If he has another 8th place finish yes. He did get an extension before last year, otherwise I think he's already gone! Coaches matter in the last 5 minutes of the games. We saw it all year with him if you were close in the last 5 minutes you would win the game.

From what I understand from someone who knows something about GW if Caputo finishes next season similar to what they finished this season then he's gone.

Curiosity got the best of me, so I looked up Ivory--miss valley st was Kenpom #365 this year and Ivory only won 12 games in 4 yrs as head coach. He was an alum and in their hall-of-fame as a player. In 13 yrs at Ark-Pine Bluff, he only had 2 yrs above .500 (18-16, 16-14). Whew--that's a lot of losing.

"'Over the last 6 months, it has become clear that Campbell has made the decision to shift their commitment from basketball,' Andrzejek wrote. 'Simply put -- the institution now has different priorities, and they are not compatible with putting the kind of team on the floor that you deserve. As difficult as this is, I respect the decision and understand it as one that the University feels it must make in what are unprecedented times in higher education.'"

"'Despite months of intense work and collaboration with AD Hannah Bazemore and our terrific athletics administration, and several creative options that were proposed and thoroughly explored, there are no pathways that the institution will support to fund the program appropriately moving forward,' he wrote.

Andrzejek will join Louisville as associate head coach, serving under coach Pat Kelsey, Campbell said in a statement."
