Okay. Who was the Yahoo who decided to have the Mason athletics department meet and great all the way out in Haymarket instead of the Fairfax campus?


I thought the goal was to increase student and community excitement and participation for the athletics program.

No one is traveling all the way out to Haymarket in evening traffic just to get Tony Skinns autograph.

Or if you wanted to have it a brewery, why not Commonwealth. Ya know, the one that's making the Brave and the Bold beer for the university that's also in Fairfax. Probably the same group that approved the logo.

I like the event and attempt to bring all the coaches together - needs to be more of that since these are the types of events they need to increase engagement with potential donors and get fans engaged and excited.

Agree it's odd they pick a place on a weekday that's so far out - people are scattered all around NOVA and getting people to drive 20mins to an hour in prime rush hour traffic with no complimentary food just doesn't seem viable in trying to maximize attendance. Cash bar I can see but throw the people some complimentary food tickets for making the trek.

No problem if it's a Saturday or Sunday but weekday at this time is rough.

Hope they can pack the place.
