• THANK YOU DONORS!!
I'd like to personally thank everyone that participated in our first donor drive in years! We raised over double the amount that we set as a goal. You guys are awesome! This money helps to fuel much needed upgrades around here - and also includes monthly server costs and software licenses. We are excited for the future and your donations ensure that there will be a place to talk about George Mason basketball (among other things) for seasons to come! - The Management

Texas fans were ready to fire Shaka. Now he is contending for COY.

Playing devil's advocate here. Feel free to shoot this down.

Another excuse to not fire him is if we finish season on a win streak and advance in A10 tourney.

mason makes top 5 and semis of tournament sign me up to extend.

otherwise no thank you.

He’d be a bit of the retread brand and probably cost a lot, but I’d definitely take a look at Martelli. He obviously would know the league really well and not need 4 years to figure out what a10 talent was haha

Random thought came into my head this morning -- they are doing COVID vaccines at the Patriot Center this year, bringing a ton of folks from the local community into the arena for probably the first time. Would it be considered uncouth to have advertisements up around the area for tickets for the upcoming season? You have a local, captive audience who has to sit around for the observation period following their shot, wonder if they could throw some posters up with a QR code that linked to a mini season plan or something? Might be a way to capture some of the local community who would otherwise be unaware of the team/season while they are literally sitting in our arena.

Hand out a free ticket with each shot. LOL.

LOL right? I'm picturing some sort of mini package deal where we give like 15% off a 4 game mini plan for folks who buy through a link connected to a QR code that you can scan while you are in the observation area in the arena. I mean I can't imagine it would hurt us at all to try, worse case scenario no one buys and we are out the cost of some signage.

I got my first dose in a movie theater they converted to a vaccine site and they had replaced EVERY movie poster sign with an ad for Kaiser Permanente. Then when it was time for my 15 minute waiting period I was waiting in a movie theater that was just playing Kaiser Permanente ads on the big screen over and over.

So I guess my main point is that this is a good idea.

My secondary point is that Kaiser Permanente is amazing and really cares about my health and my community.

Kaiser nearly killed me with a pretty bad misdiagnosis. No love for them here

OK no one seems to be getting my joke that I was subjected to lots of Kaiser advertising during my vaccine appointment and that it was actually effective (that's the joke part), relating it to the fact that we could similarly brainwash people getting their vaccines at EBA by subjecting them to a similar barraige of Mason season ticket and donation information.

I don't give a crap about Kaiser. They can be abolished with the rest of the health insurance industry.

Don't worry, I got it.

I was also going to say, they should turn on the video scoreboard and have people watch Mason highlights for the 15 minutes they've got to sit there.
