I guess it's out there now....no audio streaming for Mason men's hoops. We will get whatever TV coverage there is for home games....and relegated to away game opponents TV or radio if we find it.

Are you referring to wgmu?
Yes. Rohland will now do only ESPN+ TV games for home broadcasts. CBS and other national broadcasts will be the only media for home games when they occur.

All road games will be whatever TV or radio coverage there is from our opponents that we can access.

Good thing most of our A10 opponents have to robust home coverage.

Years ago, WGMU had students/volunteers do the radio broadcast for the women's team.

Maybe that's an option for this year?

I believe that’s still the case for the women’s team now but I could be wrong. I hope there’s a way to do the same for the men’s team.

Oh I am sure Mason will allow the students to do whatever since its free.

Willing to bet Mason did the ...we ain't making money on ads for broadcasts and 10 people may listen...so we will stop. If the A-10 didn't require the ESPN+ coverage, Im sure that would be gone too.

Why cover home games if the expectation is you need to buy $5k ticket packages and be there.....

It sounds like for out of owners, the only thing that will change is not having the ESPN+ option when the game is on USA or CBS Sports.

The Verizon in the Fairfax area seems to have incorporated the ESPN+ option into the package that has ESPN Unlimited. I'm not sure if other cable providers are also doing the same thing.
