Iowa State beat BYU at BYU by 2. Melvin Ejim, Georges Nyang are legit.

Shee-it. Not very many teams win at BYU. That's impressive.

Iowa State is looking like the kind of signature win our team is going to need on its resume come March. Great opportunity for the guys in Hawaii.

I know we don't play either team this year, but it is still interesting to know that Northeastern beat Georgetown (63-56).

GIVING DAY 2023
Iowa State pulled out the road win after having a starter ejected and 2 others foul out...

Niang is an F-ing beast. 19 pts, 9 assts, 7 rebs. Wow.

I would add him to our All-What Might've Been team, but he was a Larranaga recruit.

Even if he had signed with us, he probably would've taken his talents to South Beach with the Geriatric Cuban.

Oh, and freaking New Mexico stuck it to somebody else in an early-season tournament this year.

Kendall Williams hit a running 30-footer at the buzzer of the first OT to tie the game, and the lucky-a** Lobos beat UAB 97-94.

Obviously, Alford left the rabbit's foot behind when he left for UCLA.

I was thinking the exact same thing, Jim. I was experiencing deja vu of our game against NM last year and our NIT game against Penn State when Williams hit the 3 to force OT. Gotta feel bad for UAB. Feels like they lost that game three times.

I have never been one to get hot under the collar for a recruits but I was really hoping Niang would head to Funfax, not sure why but just had a feeling about him.

UNI wins a barn-burner against Loyola Marymount 90-81 in the first round of the Paradise Jam. They get Maryland in the second on Sunday.

Oklahoma is playing Seton Hall in Brooklyn on TruTV. Seeing that we scrimmaged Seton Hall, this should be some good game film for the staff to use.

I wonder if Isaiah Cousins and Sherrod ever played together since they are both from Mount Vernon.

Oklahoma had a great comeback last night. Down 6 with like 30 seconds left to beat Seton Hall 86-85 and will take on #1 Michigan State tonight. Regardless of tonight's outcome, looks like an opportunity to pick up a signature win for the resume if we are in that position in March. They are 4-0 so far.

Too bad that rabbit's foot doesn't apply in the NCAA tourney...ISU might blow our doors off.

South Florida got blown out at home by Oklahoma St. By the time I tuned into ESPN2, it was a 20 point game and tough to see anything from USF
