We are flat right now. Twice in the past two weeks Paulsen has referred to terrible practices the day before a game. Mentally tired? That's my guess. We played scared against them at home so I give us zero chance of winning this one. It won't be close. We lose by 25. The crack dealers and Dominoes drivers go home happy.

vcu is gonna be pit bull mean on Saturday. There's no way that they won't be jacked up to avoid a 3-game slump heading into the A10 T on their Senior night.

My hope is that Mason can exploit that and vcu is so stoked that they over-play everything. Otherwise, this game could be one big rump-romp.

and don't mind the vcu hate, but don't hate on my adopted city. I grew up in NoVA (WSHS '84, GMU '88) and have never missed living there. Like anywhere, just need to know where to go and what to avoid.

That probably depends on what our RPI winds up being on Selection Sunday. But, certainly ending the season losing 3 of the last 4 wouldn't be a good thing for vcu's chances.

I'm pretty sure they lost their last 3 or 4 regular-season games in 2011 -- including a 20-point drubbing by Mason and a loss at home to JMU -- then turned around and made the Final 4.

Basketball is a funny game. You just never know sometimes.

Their season still amazes me, because Skeen all of a sudden became one of the best 3-point shooting bigs in the country out of almost nowhere and that's really what propelled them. He went 4-6 from deep in the tournament against us and that was the big difference: Morrison (and Coach L) was not prepared for him to light it up from out there.
