I was wondering about the blimp -- we watched two dudes try and snag it with a couple of helium balloons after the game. It was no where near any of the cat walks. Wonder how they got it down?!

I didn't see who was flying it on Saturday, but the guy who is normally at the controls can be quite erratic. At one game earlier this season, he almost took out the trombone section of the Green Machine. I think it might be time for him to retire.

The same guy as usual was flying the blimp Saturday night. When he took it up it looked fine then it hit the bottom of the USA flag hanging above Section 108. Then it just kind of went up from there and finally got stuck, it dropped all the Pizza coupons once it got stuck.

Earlier in the year he hit a Masonette in the head, like mentioned above it hit Green Machine section at least once. either the guy who controls the thing is drunk or the Blimp has run its course and needs to be retired. Either way i would not be surprised if we've seen the last of the pizza blimp.

Sounds like the same level of ridiculousness as someone falling over for a chic fila cow (which I witnessed for the first time on Saturday)

Isn't Thompson top 10 nationally in both rebounding and offensive rebounding percentage? He had a couple of rough games, but he has been a beast on the glass most of the season for us.

Jalen has shown some of the court vision that Marko has and the physicality that Thompson has. Hopefully he can put it all together his senior season and be an anchor down low.

For sure. I was more trying to mention how awesome they've been, but on bad teams. Not that they've been bad. Thompson is the reason we've won a lot of our games. His rebounding and scoring is going to be sorely missed.

Well... looks like the numbers are in and Mason is tied for second-to-last. Exactly what was prognosticated. We didn't underachieve, we didn't overachieve. Mason did what was expected — except, we beat vcu! Never expected that. But it made this season that much more sweet than bitter.

I may be in the minority on this, but my hatred for all things vcu is so great I'd rather beat them and come in 13th than lose and come in 8th.

I got a cow and the U Mall theaters popcorn last year and now I don't even bother getting out of my seat. The jumping around and running into each other has gotten a little out of hand, I'm surprised someone hasn't face- planted sooner. We watched some high school kids just about plaster a 5 year old trying to get the damn cow this year. As was said about the blimp, you'll probably see these promotions re-evaluated in the off season.

Tshirt guy was sitting behind me a few rows back, I didn't see a controller in his hand. He did walk up to a family sitting next to me, whispered a few words to them and gave one of the boys a t-shirt. The family soon left, he def creeped them out lol.

Not surprising. Does he attend G Mas games when they play at Fordham or Manhattan? I assume not as he would have already been on Law & Order SVU.
