Time for some revenge ladies. I hope this is the season the women have a breakout season attendance wise.

Should be a tight and enjoyable game. Temple was picked to finish towards the top of the conference.
''Temple was picked to finish fifth among the 13 teams in the American Conference preseason poll. Reigning 2025-26 American regular-season champion Rice was selected as the preseason favorite, receiving 10 first-place votes. Temple is coming off a 15-17 season, including an 8-10 conference record, and finished seventh in the American last season.''

Last season, I remember the women playing at Dayton (or maybe SLU) in front of a sell-out crowd of mostly school-aged kids. The TV announcers said something to the effect that this was an annual event. Good idea to have a chance for a big crowd, even if you don't have much in the way of $$$. Maybe this is our way of doing something similar.

Highlights from the 91-71 win

Very impressed with what i saw tonight. A lot of transfers with 2 players from last years team. Played well and great in stretches. Key shooting all the way around, inside and outside the 3 pt line.

This was CVB-L's 100th win at GMU and there was a video ceremony afterwards featuring past players and staff, as well as family. In 6 years here, she is #3 ont he all-time win list.

Agreed! Well-balanced scoring, and even their bigs are reasonably mobile. Amaotang, Yancy, & Shiels make a strong core of scorer, although we had 2 others in double figures. Cutting down the turnovers (22) is something to work on--although their speed of play contributes to that somewhat. Also they put up shots quickly and if they hit a cold streak the other team has opportunities to cut into leads.
