Agreed, multiple exhibition games against real opponents is interesting to see

...and why aren't we scheduling the max for exhibition games? Or are we doing the more informal intra-squad scrimmages?

The NCAA expanded the maximum limit from two games to three games starting with the 2026 – 27 season.

Taking advantage of more opportunities for real competition is a no-brainer.

George Mason vs Towson in Baltimore on Saturday December 19th 2026

Who else going to this game?
I'm definitely planning on going now since my 6 year old said he wants to go with friends for his birthday - so we are going to make a weekend of it in Baltimore. Only issue will be if the demand from UMD fans keeps the prices absurdly high. Looks like there are only doubleheader tickets being sold, but the capacity is over 11,000 for basketball - bigger arena than I thought.

I think prices will go down when they release the 200 level seats.

This is shaping up to be a pretty solid non conference schedule.

I like having Villanova as the exhibition because it gives the team a serious test right away without the result actually hurting anything. High Point on the road should be another good measuring stick.

The neutral games with Kansas City, Bradley and Towson could end up being important too. Those are exactly the kind of games you want to win if you are trying to build a decent postseason resume.

ODU at home should be fun after winning the first game of the series. Overall it looks balanced enough to challenge the team without being completely brutal.
????

Are you sure you weren't looking at Villanova's schedule form DRK's post?

I think this is mainly garbage. Avg NET ranking of our opponents is 226. For any chance of an at-large, you need to kick major a** AND have an opponent NET of under 175 and even that number is questionable.
