This is going to be a very tough game..... very hard beating a team 3 times for sure. Bonnie put up 90+ points yesterday so they aren't rusty and will come out with confidence and look to punch us right in the face from the get go.

Can't start out flat. Start with fire and intensity from the first minute. Need to attack and go right at them..... if our bigs are on and can continue to score and not turn the ball over when doubled or brick lay-ups around the rim then we should be in a good spot.

Low scoring, thinking:

Goodguys 64
Saints go marching out 60

A-10 tournament: Watched some of the games today on tv.... attendance looked horrific for all games so far. The cameras panned all over the arena during normal plays and replays and looked awful as complete sections were wide open. Sections directly behind bench were not even close to full, same as mid-court. Had to be less than 300 people there for all games.

Plus the tan multi-color seats looks awful, reminds me of the Richmond coliseum... seems apathy set in to those at this arena management when to not re-upholster or re-canvas your seats the same colors as before.

A-10 league people and city of Pittsburgh tourism/city officials should have walked over to Rivers Casino and just handed out hundreds of free tickets to people at the casino to try and get butts in seats. Also could have run online and radio advertisements with 2 for 1 deals for all first round games.

Kenpom has Mason as a 4 pt favorite.

Somewhat off-topic: I really like Dalen Cuff's coverage of the A10. Seems to have a very good sense of the teams and is on point in most of his analyses.

The new commissioner should make capital one arena the permanent site for the A10 tournament.

Per Tony Skinn, Last year's A10 Championship game was the second largest in Attendance in A10 History at over 14k

I'm hoping since they scored nearly 100 yesterday that they regress to the mean (or below it) and score in the 40's today.

Data from past seasons shows that if a team wins the first two matchups, they still take the third about 72% of the time. This is mostly a catchy line that coaches love.

The key to this game is how we cover and contain Mitchell, because none of our three big men can do so alone. We need to double him and make the Bonnies beat us from outside. Riley needs to attack Mitchell on offense and stay out of foul trouble, and Kanga and Ellington have to make the most of every minute they get and every foul they have.
