I really don't understand what happened to Dola. I remember pre-season, we were all talking like he was going to be THAT dude. Instead he's awful and has gone from starter to 5 minutes per game if that.

Mincy played lights out and if Fatt can play like he did at times yesterday consistently, we're extremely dangerous. He has the deepest bag but seems to lose it halfway through sometimes.

Riley's size is missed but I like that Kanga is getting valuable play and Ellington is a hustle guy. He's not always the best matchup against some bigger bodies but he plays tough and has that nice j hook.

Definitely need our guys healthy. Our depth has helped but need the dudes of the team to keep being able to be dudes.

he faces a new level of talent/competition- both every day in practice and in the A-10 games, and he has not met the challenge of improving his game

How long is Riley out for? That seems like a fickle injury to have.

I don't know why some here think Allenspach's defense is "atrocious". Of the eight A-10 games of 2026, Riley's +/- ratings are the following...

-5, -2, +4, +8, +7, +2, -8, DNP

His average +/- is +0.857. Take away the outlier URI game, where Allenspach played the entire game with an injured rib, Riley's +/- average rating is +2.333. In the URI game, his minus rating is more likely a factor of him going 1–6 rather than a weakened ability to defend.

The numbers in A-10 play don't show "atrocious" defense.

If Riley was listed as "questionable" last night then his injury status is probably day-to-day. Not sure if he plays Saturday. Do you let him heal up over the weekend or let him play it out? I'm confident that Riley and Coach Skinn will make the correct decision at gametime.

Highlights from the Davidson home win
Thanks for sharing but what a lazy highlight package from CBS. Arguably didn't capture any of the pivotal or most exciting moments of the game (Hill steal/dunk, Hill acrobatic and-1, Long fast break that led to a TO, etc.) but showed an inconsequential 3 by Davidson with 11 seconds left...

Yep, ribs are tricky. I have had a couple of separated ribs. It hurts like crazy, and until it's fully healed is very easy to reinjure and even come out worse than at first.
Really hoping Riley's is not that serious.

Sarcasm goes far. But yes I’m very fair weather. Though if people like me are interested again… that’s a good sign.
It is a good sign. But you gave no indication of sarcasm, either with the sarcasm font or otherwise.
But yes, welcome back!

Die hard fan. Recently interested again now that we’re doing well. Who’s good on this team?
YOOOO whatup dude. Kory Mincy is the stud but we got a lot of solid folks.

You can't use analytics to measure a player's defense performance. Especially +/- there are so many factors related to the other 4 teammates on the court that affect it.

You gotta go with eye test.

He is a decent post defender. He walks up offensive bigs at the rim and uses his lower legs to push them out of post position

The problem is the perimeter.

Guards take him off the dribble and blow by him to the cup when he has to defend on the perimeter. He doesn't have the literal quickness to defend on the perimeter players.

Sivka is the opposite of Allensbach. He is a much better perimeter defender than he is post defender. He has the lateral quickness to move with guards but he gets back down to easily in the post.
