I totally agree it might be a good move for Curran. He was not getting a head job from Bonas.
What qualifies as success at George Mason? The Final Four run was magnificent, but there hasn't been any since joining the A10. I guess size of the school hasn't really helped as you have always been one of the biggest in the A10. Just has SBU has been one of the smallest. Has your location changed? You guys have always been located in the "hot bed" of high school hoops. What have you done with it? In this era of the transfer portal is high school the way you want to go anyway?
Just think if SBU plays your team once a year for the next 8 years and loses every year the head to head record will be even. I will leave you guys alone now. I {like most of the league] have not really concerned myself with Mason. Maybe that will change with your new coach?
Nice to see the infrastructure bill brought the internet to Olean.

Is Jacob Bear and Tj Graham still on staff or did they bolt also? TJ was dobo and Bear was creative media. Both still listed on gomason.

I guess SBU is doing something right despite their location.

ummm... you said it yourself... "despite their location" is exactly the point people are making about Olean. Location is not a selling point for SBU and is, I imagine, usually a detriment. Not saying anything negative about SBU or the program itself...just a matter of fact. Curran should, in theory, be able to have greater visibility and opportunity to prove himself in a "hot bed" for recruiting (your own words again). You seem to be emotional about losing Curran though, so I understand why you're not able to think through this clearly. Try not to take things so personally.

Tony's contract identical to KE's, is that what we thought? Some were saying he'd be getting over $1M
Some of it is, some of it isn't.

Yes, the base pay of 925k is. However some things that they put in, include

-1 year extensions if they make the NCAA or NIT
-25k raises
-different buyouts

Now lets be real, the raises will need to be more if Skinn makes the NCAA or NIT (or even does well). Also if he makes the NCAAs, 1 year extension won't cut it.

But for a first time coach this is to be expected. I fully expect amounts and other items to shift around as Tony does well.

That being said, this is where it starts, with a coach. Now we need to see other things built around the program to help support this. We have a few things already, but its time to see some more.

Now you're speaking my language good sir.

I'm almost more interested to hear what Dr. Wash says today. Will he announce any other commitments to the program or things of substance? I highly doubt it, but damn I can certainly hope.
