I think we may be about to see KE's version of the 2-year season. . . And it kind of makes sense. If Josh and Ticket leave, the roster is in no state to compete with the top of the A-10. The extra covid eligibility will be over in a couple years, and it might be a good thing to be invested in the classes beneath that mark.

Otherwise, a cleaning of house would be needed to make a splash in the transfer market. It could happen, and KE did it last year. Still, kicking DP's players to the curb is a bit different than doing it to your own recruits.

I don’t think it’s gonna come to Kim having to clean house. Players will leave on their own — I’m sure he already knows who is planning to do what and is recruiting accordingly.

I'm honestly a bit surprised we haven't seen any movement there yet. Last year they came in once the season wrapped up.

Haven’t seen us linked to a lot of transfers yet. Understanding it’s still very early, but I think it’ll be a mistake if we go all in on freshman.

Maybe. But our Final Four team was led by 3 seniors, 2 sophomores and a junior 6th man (with freshman Hernandez chipping in some).

Seniors: Ojiako, Henry, Ticket, Polite
Sophomores: Fernandez, Dinkins

That’s 6 and basically a starting lineup if you go either 2 bigs or slide Polite over and start Dinkins

To get to 8 you just need two of Jones, Nnaji, Ball, Barron, White, and Marsh to be good enough to spell your top 6 players.

This is obviously going to require Henry/Ojiako, Fernandez, and Dinkins to make big strides this off-season, but it’s possible at least.

Someone is leaving. If it’s Oduro (I think we all suspect it is), this is what we’ve got. If someone else announces (please not be anyone in that top 6) yeah we are better off getting a transfer and not wasting Ticket’s last year here.

Edit: I should say in no way am I trying to predict sais team is a Final Four team, but if development happens in the right places and proportions it could be very competitive

A bit of a surprise to me, but I get why. With the obvious recruitments of Strong and Yahalo happening, one wonders if he felt he was getting recruited over in his position. Also not impossible he wants to get closer to home in Minny. Could easily see him fitting in with a OVC or MVC team and doing well for himself. All the best, but I'm not gonna lose sleep over this one.

Not much of a surprise to me. He couldn’t break in over Blake (which is a problem considering Blake’s play not exactly being stellar) and with Ticket coming back and Blake probably staying and yeah the potential new competition at his position coming in, the ability to get on the floor was a tough hill to climb.

It's not that I'm worried about getting a lesser player to fill his scholarship spot, but I was really intrigued by what Elvis could potentially bring to the table if he got more playing time and experience. I hope he ends up at a school that's a better fit.

If you're not going to play a freshman but you also aren't redshirting them, it's probably a sign they should be on the move.

I am not really getting your point. To your first paragraph, he looked, but it just didn't pan out the way coach or Elvis wanted it to. To your second paragraph, he played in 13 games, so that would seem to contradict there being any non-bball skill reason he wasn't playing, so why create unnecessary rumors?

I'm not creating rumors. Just reading between the lines. Didn't seem like KE mentioned him in anything during the season despite hurting his elbow in excitement when he committed. Maybe he wasn't as good as he thought? With Felton being the lead guy I am skeptical on anyone he recruits since the whole thing down south. Overall, it just seems odd we tried so hard to get him and now he is leaving. Hard to believe he got offered by P5's and not good enough to redshirt.
