I think everyone would agree that X is presently much much better than Ronnie. Hell I bet Ronnie would even agree with that. But I also think X is as good as he’s gonna get … for a number of reasons Ronnie is still just scratching the surface of his ability.

Will he ever be healthy enough to reach his potential? Who knows. But I don’t blame Kim if he evaluated last season and concluded that sticking with X for another season was not good enough.

It feels weird to describe a guard as "raw" but I think that fits Ronnie. Don't agree at all with Sleeper that he's a lost cause. Might never get there but does some important things nicely, like getting into the paint and finishing around the rim (I know he smoked a few layups this season but I'm not super concerned by it). Good size and above average athlete for the position. Shooting form isn't perfect but it's also not hopelessly broken like XJ's. Biggest concern for me is that if he is a high IQ player or great facilitator, we haven't seen that at all. I think he gets a lot of run and a chance to prove himself out of necessity this season, so we'll all find out soon.

He does get to the rim well I agree. But he smoked more layups than he ever should so I definitely disagree he finishes well. Not a horrible facilitator but 1-1 A-TO isn’t good for his career.

I do not think that XJ is much much better than Polite.

Call me crazy, but I would deployed a DP Tactic with the last spot.

Go find a pg with zero offers and offer him. Who cares if he’s 5’8 lol

That’s the thing, we didn’t need that. We already signed the PG of the future in this class. For what is in all likelihood Josh’s last season with us, we needed someone who could come in and immediately take over the job, even if just for one season.

When we signed Ojiako, I was thinking he would back up Oduro and mayge get the spot the following year. Now listening to Kim, I’m thinking he might be more than that.

I’ve watched 5 complete Hutchinson/New Mexico games of Saquan and have a pretty good idea of his skill set. Anyone able to find any film on Ojiako from high school or AAU? Not looking for highlights, want full games.
