I'm just hoping Cooper stays for that extra COVID year and Hartwell decides to graduate and move on...

I can't imagine there's much of a pathway for Gadsden going forward.

Gray and Polite are in that meh area right now. English was high on Polite when he started practicing, so maybe he just needs to get back into game shape? But I can't imagine both will be staying with Dinkins coming in.

Maybe Frazier has a shot, but we haven't seen enough of him (wouldn't mind him as a 9th man defensive specialist who just does the dirty work -- get steals, rebounds, makes life difficult for the opposing team etc.).
It definitely will be interesting to see how it all comes together. A first 5 of Oduro, Ticket, JF, Coop and either XJ or a transfer PG is a great place to start.

Personally give me Gray over Polite at this point. I still think even with Dinkins coming in we need to hit the transfer market hard for a starting PG, or at least someone who will push to start next year because that’s the main hole in our roster at this point.

Oduro is our big man, we need depth down low too.

Polite played poorly today. But his 3 point shot looked a lot better. I think he made one or two. So that's some progress.

Yea 1-4 today actually made his career average go up. That’s how bad of a shooter he is. Two air balls and an absolute brick don’t make me feel too encouraged but I’m glad it does to you

Foul trouble and no bench was the downfall tonight. Proud of the effort overall but it's clear that we are a team of four and a half players. If XJ is hurt we're down to 4 players. Ticket is the real deal. The young man just plays his a$$ off and is already one of my all time faves.

Hartwell's decision doesn't mean anything as far as scholarships go though, right? So it really doesn't matter what he does.

Given that we previously offered a third scholarship out, I kind of take that as a sign that Cooper wants to start his pro career next year. Have to wait and see on that one, I guess.

Hartwell is entitled to a 5th year of eligibility. However, the NCAA has yet to rule whether players like Hartwell will count against the program's 13-scholarship limit for the 2022-23 season.

I suspect the 3rd scholarship was for planned attrition one way or another. Also nobody seems to be 100 percent sure about Cooper and whether he counts or gets a free year because technically he was a redshirt junior and graduated I believe.

Yes, he's a fifth year guy and listed as a grad student on the roster.

Mike Gray, Gadsen, Frazier, Cooper, Hartwell, etc. Lots of unknowns.

If I were Polite, and didn't show a lot of improvement over the course of this year, I'd read the writing on the wall and look for a good landing spot. I guess you could say the same thing about Henry. Paulsen's guys are particularly vulnerable (obviously).

Cooper is entitled to another season of eligibility. However, he would count against the 13-scholarship limit if he returns to Mason next season because he transferred after the 2020-21 season.

Hate to break it to you all, but no program can count on anyone being around next year. Our high skilled players could enter the Portal. Did Kansas like what they saw in Ticket last night?

What's the rule? Can enter the portal every year? Or just once?

Ticket isn’t leaving Mason unless KE does. This is what happens when you hire a coach who builds genuine relationships with his players. Guys want to play for him.
