Based on a photo circulating on social, the women’s team has gone back to the split “George” and “Mason” with the number in the middle.

I’d be be shocked if the men’s jerseys aren’t that style as well since KE seems to have a particular fondness for reconnecting with the 2006 team.

It's about time for both...George Mason on the uni, and using 2006 to build the program.

I’m pretty surprised we went back to the George Mason on the front after such a push from our athletic department to brand the Mason throughout the whole program. I really didn’t care either way, but after seeing them it does kind of give you the warm and fuzzy feeling to see it back.

The design is another surprise move. I know coach liked the FF jerseys and I was kind of expecting to see those. These are very basic, but they work. It makes sense that old guys like me would like them, but didn’t think the kids would like them.

It will be interesting to see how many options we will have. I think KE referenced 4 at some point (I could be making that up). Would really like a gold option back in the mix, seemed like some of the recruits liked getting pics in the black… could those be options we see? I might make some mock ups later today if I have time.

Only negative for me the the sublimated tackle twill letters/numbers. I would prefer either legit tackle twill or just go sublimated. Basically the yellow and white are sublimated on a fabric and then sewn on, which gives the background yellow a inconsistent look. You look at the G and there is a lot of background yellow inside it, but then the E has the inside cut out instead of solid yellow background. Very nerdy, but it doesn’t quite match for me.

Bad news is my Adidas guy can’t replicate these because of the custom font Mason used. No fan order from me. I could do a replica that would look the same, but it wouldn’t be Adidas. Holding out hope that the athletic department heard our suggestions and have something available for us. I know KE liked one of my social media comments about offering these for purchase, so maybe that was a sign that they will offer them. Ideally, fans could order them through Mason with player names/numbers and the players could make some NIL money off of them.

Spot on. The letters and stitching look like they cut corners but overall I love the look and the return of George Mason. The uniform as a whole feels like KE is picking up where coach L left off, like it's meant to be a continuation of better times. Let's put the whole "Mason" branding thing to rest as it will always be associated with DP and mediocrity.

I think KE has a few more surprises up his sleeve with the uniforms. I have to imagine a gold uniform is in play but I'd also keep an eye on black uniforms as well. It's telling that a lot of recruits that visit and take photographs in our uniforms opt for the black uniform. Uniforms are just another recruiting tool these days.

The letters/numbers aren’t a Mason issue, that’s more of a Rippon issue (Rippon is the company that makes all of the custom Adidas unis) unless Mason got them decorated by a third party. I can’t blame Mason on that.

Another major plus on our uni - it isn’t just a normal Adidas template which means your not going to see us playing another team with the exact same jersey design. That’s a huge plus. I know that happened last year with the old design. This seems to be a custom design.

Duquesne was Adidas and like five years had a couple of different unis, one looked real similar to this but I don't recall the lettering on that looking so cheap

Completely agree about gray, yuck, but gold is one of the school colors — makes zero sense not to have it as one of our uniform options IMHO

AD weasel: We spent a lot of money for a consulting company and since all the locals call us Mason, they decided it was what we should be known as. So our unis have just had "Mason" on them since.
