eh, I have no problem bending academic requirements to ensure we get the right level athletes enrolled...but shady stuff outside of academia, I concur...

I have a hard time believing something like this went unaddressed during the interview and vetting process. It had to have been thoroughly discussed between Felton, KE and Edwards... and the latter two got assurances that history wouldn't repeat itself. We also don't know what his day-to-day responsibilities are; maybe the stuff that was problematic at CSU he isn't allowed to touch while here at Mason.

Manufacturing things to be upset about. This has been the best off-season we’ve ever had in Mason history, and folks want to create some drama over an assistants past? I personally didn’t love the hire for other reasons, but there’s nothing to suggest there’s anything wrong with having him as an assistant here at Mason.

Usually we’d be arguing over walkons and if we’d fill the roster with scholarship players or not. We’re involved with more high profile recruits than we’ve ever been in our history, have a full roster of studs, and have more video to watch from spring practice than ever before to dissect dudes growth and what system we’ll be running, but instead we want to create some outrage over an assistants past? Just enjoy what we’ve got going on, and if the product on the court or off court issues come up in the future, get mad about it then.

Easy friends. An issue was found. Hopefully it has been adequately addressed. Still, if Felton has any untoward tendencies it shouldn't be ignored. I never said the sky was falling.

Let’s remember Felton was just at Fordham, which had a much better academic reputation than Mason, and there were no issues there, so maybe y’all can cool it.

An issue wasn’t found, outrage was manufactured for something that is irrelevant to mason basketball. This idea of what constitutes a “clean” program is an idea that is going out of style along with our aging fanbase. There has been absolutely nothing to suggest that things under English have been anything but above board.

Nothing was "created." Something was reported. Reactions will differ. Outrage? Where did you get that??
And I'm with you...I believe it is all sunshine. But ignoring something is not wise either. As I said, I trust/hope KE and BE have done their due diligence.
