Welcome Mouhamed Lamine Mbaye

Rivals has him at 6'9, 247 has him at 6'8, we'll see what Mason lists him as and how he compares against Henry and Oduro when he gets on campus.

And, yeah, I was looking at his frame, definitely more of a forward body type than a wing. Goanar was a wing with a forward's handle.

Also, English says he's going to develop every part of a player's skillset. He wants forwards who can dribble and pass. He wants guards who can post up.
Just watching that one video Mbaye is a big who has skills to play away from the rim. Already bigger than Goanar, who was 175 pounds soaking wet when he committed to Mason. Completely different type of player.

Agree 100%. Already bigger and stronger than Mar. His frame will also allow for additional growth and maturation.

Again, based on this one video, the kid plays with some emotion and swag!! Love it.

With guys like him Cooper and Schwartz we finally look like a non-JV squad in the A-10!
Obviously zero results YET. But things are looking up.

This is exactly why I wasn’t willing to give Paulsen such a long leash. Good coaches are able to make an immediate impact.

Good looking video, for sure.

I'm of the opinion that tweeners are almost always better played up a position than down a position, so off of one video (LOL) I like him as a quick, skilled big than I like him as a jumbo wing.

At the risk of replying to DJ3, https://bleacherreport.com/articles...and-delivers-paul-hewitt-his-first-big-splash.

Recruiting is great, and is a big part of coaching, but its not the whole of coaching.

I'm very encouraged by what I'm seeing from English, but games are won on the floor, not on twitter.

Yes. Agree 100%. And that's all I'm getting at. My one concern is the highlight tapes I see has a lot of plays coming from him as a wing and not many in the post. But I see him as a post player at the next level. Thus the Goanar Mar comparison.

Let's get him beefed up and working on those post moves.

If Miller comes back, there is going to be a log jam at the 4 (because he will play the 3 and push others up to the 4 probably). Hope this isn't an indication that Miller is gone.
