Its official. Malik is back.
He'll have to come out of his shell before I get excited. Malik, to me, was quite a mystery this past season.
Its official. Malik is back.
With the talent incoming, I will be shocked if he is anything more than a “break in case of emergency” guy next season. Pretty surprised he didn’t try to portal again and find a level where he can make a legit impact though.3.2 ppg, 1.5 reb, no threat from 3, 16 - 46 (44.4%) from the free throw line. Wasn't an elite defender or necessarily a "glue guy." I appreciate the loyalty but...........

I think there’s something to this logic. Sometimes a new system is overwhelming and a player has to go through the motions just to get through each day. Things slow down in the off season, they start to understand things and come into camp and the mental challenge is no longer slowing them down.Maybe a year under Skinn or an off season and he puts in the work! Never know! I trust Tony
Low risk potentially high reward to have a guy like that for year 2 in Tony’s system. Either it works and he excels, or he can eat 6-8 minutes a game, give guys a breather, and give us 5 good fouls.Malik is a great kid with a great attitude and work ethic. Any player with remaining eligibility that has those qualities and wants to be here is an automatic take for me. Plus he has the athletic ability to exceed at this level - just a question if he can ever put it all together and become a significant contributor, or remain a depth piece.
