Herring by a mile. However, Fernandez has potential to be special. I understand that he loves CKE but don’t think the style fits his game so am a little surprised he didn’t take his time on this.

I know the younger heads didn't get a chance to see him, but Erik Herring was something special. Both were great. As a freshman:

Herring: 10.1 Pts, 3.8 Reb, 2.1 Ast
Hancock: 7.7 Pts, 3.5 Reb, 3.0 Ast

Dean Smith said it takes about a dozen years before you know yourself as a head coach. Coach L was a HC at bowling Green for 11 years before coming to Mason. This means Dave Paulsen should have breakout year! Lol
