"The George Mason University men's basketball program has announced the signing of incoming freshman Isaiah Skinn to the 2025-26 roster.

The son of head coach Tony Skinn ('06), Isaiah recently wrapped up his senior campaign at Edison High School in Alexandria, Va.

"I'm excited to have Isaiah join our basketball family," Skinn said. "By bringing him to George Mason, he'll have a chance to grow and develop while laying the foundation for his basketball career. He's a true program kid and a great teammate."

Isaiah Skinn put together an outstanding senior campaign at Edison High School, where he garnered First Team All-District and First Team All-Region accolades. He averaged 21.9 points per game while also dishing out 6.0 assists/contest and shooting 47.2 percent from 3pt range. He added 3.5 steals and 4.5 rebounds per contest.

He was named to the 2024 Virginia Wesleyan Team Camp All-Tournament Team and also earned a spot on the 2024 Hoop Group Elite Invite Only All-Star Team 1. He played his club ball for Family Over Fame.

The 6-foot guard joins an incoming George Mason freshmen class which includes guard Devin Booker (Philadelphia, Pa.) and forward Emmanuel Kanga (Libreville, Gabon).".

Someone commented the Matt thread was getting more hits than this one, so, here goes ...

Not to be too cynical about the current state of college basketball, but what's the over/under for how many years do we get out of Isaiah Skinn before he goes portaling? ;-)

1) Tony goes, he goes
2) Develops into a legitimate starter at another program, higher or lower, he goes
3) otherwise he stays

really like this signing. Isaiah is probably a red-shirt candidate unless someone goes down. Most likely not receiving NIL funds, and allows us to employ a full roster. low risk, high reward signing.

Like the Coach at Creighton did,
His scholarship can be pulled if needed for someone else and mom and dad can pay the tuition bill

Not the point guard depth I was hoping for, but hopefully he develops well and becomes a monster here. I’d hope that he’s a non scholarship athlete, we are paying his dad 1.8 mil a year.
