Every season is under Tony his offense has ran through a big. We’ve focused on touches inside to open up looks for our guards.Despite the criticisms of Allenspach by some on the boards, we're gonna badly miss his offense unless Kanga develops that part of his game.
Need a reincarnation of Will Thomas or Robert Dykes!

This is gonna be a guard-driven offense. Lots of attacking the paint off the dribble, lots of free throws … The bigs will get scoring opportunities rolling off ball screens and offensive rebounds, I wouldn’t imagine the traditional post-up will be nearly as prevalent with this group.Despite the criticisms of Allenspach by some on the boards, we're gonna badly miss his offense unless Kanga develops that part of his game.

Ah yes, Robert Dykes. A man playing a boys game.Despite the criticisms of Allenspach by some on the boards, we're gonna badly miss his offense unless Kanga develops that part of his game.

I rewatched our game against Loyola, and man, Adair was so soft against Riley on defense that I'm severely underwhelmed and expecting almost nothing from him on the defensive side of the ball and probably an occasional 3-pointer. He's a little stronger Stas, but not as fluid... :/Adair is likely gonna spend more time at the 5 than the 4 given the way most teams play now. You definitely don’t want him trying to guard athletic stretch 4s on the perimeter lol.
He was a freshman guarding a junior who was one of the best post scorers in the A-10. Gonna give him some grace and hope with time, strength and experience his defense will get better.I rewatched our game against Loyola, and man, Adair was so soft against Riley on defense that I'm severely underwhelmed and expecting almost nothing from him on the defensive side of the ball and probably an occasional 3-pointer. Praying we get an actual starting caliber 4/5
Gonna say the same about his 3pt shooting to end the season. He was a freshman guarding a junior who was one of the best post scorers in the A-10. Gonna give him some grace and hope with time, strength and experience his defense will get better.

To paraphrase Apollo Creed "There is no tomorrow". The transfers need to able to play both sides of the ball from the jump or else expects losses to the learning curve. He was a freshman guarding a junior who was one of the best post scorers in the A-10. If he makes gains over the summer, which I beileve is totally doable, I would expect him to be able to flourish in that conference.Stas to William and Mary! Good for him

One year there, and then back to Mason as a senior. Let's use W&M as part of our farm system. If the P5's can do it, so can we!
If that’s the case it will be a stark departure from any offense Tony has ever instituted here. This is gonna be a guard-driven offense. Not sure I agree b/c Tony’s system relies more heavily on ball screens than post-ups, he just has done very well finding overlooked bigs who can score: Kelly, Hall, Haynes and Allenspach. If that’s the case it will be a stark departure from any offense Tony has ever instituted here.
Not saying it won’t happen because I have no idea, just seems to go against what Tony has done every other year.
I would agree with that strategy if I thought we had more 3 pt shooters other than Lilian Marville, who is only a rising sophomore. I worry that BOC, like Baraka, is also a driver and they'll get in each other's way. BOC is just okay from 3, but if he gets the ball and Baraka is on the perimeter, the other team will essentially ignore Baraka out there and clog up the middle to limit Brendan, Shane, and our bigger guys. Not sure I agree b/c Tony’s system relies more heavily on ball screens than post-ups, he just has done very well finding overlooked bigs who can score: Kelly, Hall, Haynes and Allenspach.
We don’t have a big close to that level offensively on Team 61 and I highly doubt with whatever rev share $ is left that the staff will be pulling in a double-digit paint scorer.
With a PG like Baraka, I would put 2-3 shooters on the floor with him to spread the defense and just let him cook. He lives at the FT line.
I’m not holding my breath that we’re going to find another big out there, but I do hope we’re close on a scoring wing who can knock it down from 3.I would agree with that strategy if I thought we had more 3 pt shooters other than Lilian Marville, who is only a rising sophomore. Hope I'm wrong--maybe Lilian turns into a second coming of Steph Curry! Sure would open things up for everyone else!
Doesn't sound like that is an accurate rumor.Arent we getting that big from Georgia that committed to GW but is rethinking it?
Not what On3 saysDoesn't sound like that is an accurate rumor.
