GMU soccer's been pretty strong from what I've seen lately. Over 4,000 students showed up to see the men play UVA last fall.

Now, if Edwards really wants to make some noise, we all know what he needs to do.

And I would imagine they don't care one bit about soccer at Alabama. We care at least a little. I guess.

I'm guessing that Mason cared a lot about women's soccer when it had one of the best programs in the country.

Indeed, it was 1985. And Mason was the ONLY team other than UNC to be champs between 1982-1997!

After losing to Mason in the 1985 finals, UNC went another 8 yrs before losing their next game! Had to be the most dominant run ever--probably in any sport, men's or women's. (Mason lost to them in the 1993 finals 6-0)
