Took both games from Harvard and head into the tournament with a 13-1 record in the EIVA. Let’s get that trophy!

Don't forget, winning the Eiva Tournament means we earn a spot in the equivalent of the Elite 8 (but only 6 teams) in NCAA Tournament!!! Top 2 seeds have quarterfinal byes, play the winners of the two games between the 3-6 seeds.

99 Patriot

This team is a lot of fun. Thursday night will be our first tournament game. Hope they draw a crowd similar to the Penn State one.

That win @ OSU was impressive and fairly dominant, and the kind of match that the team has historically lost 3-1 or 3-0. They lost to now #2 UC-Irvine 3-1, but that was a more competitive match than the final scores indicated.

This team could be special, and better than the team 2 years ago that won EIVA tournament and advanced to NCAA's. Excited for what Hosack has done with the program.

FAIRFAX, Va. – For the first time this season, the George Mason men's volleyball team ranks in the Top-15 of the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) DI-DII Coaches Poll. The Patriots received 36 total points to rank No. 14 in the country, the AVCA announced Monday.

This is the first time the Patriots rank in the Top-15 since Feb. 13, 2017. Mason received votes in the first three polls this season: Dec. 6 (13), Jan. 7 (9), and Jan. 14 (11).

The Green & Gold defeated its first ranked opponent in Ohio State in four sets on Friday night (Jan. 18). The following night, the Patriots picked up their first conference win of the season over Charleston (W.Va.) to improve to 5-1 on the season.

Junior opposite hitter Hayden Wagner had impressive, efficient performances in both matches to earn Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week.

Men's team up to #13, and most of our top players from this years team are juniors or sophomores. Win Eiva this year, get some more NCAA tournament experience, and then be primed for a legit shot at winning it at home next year in 2020!

After tonight's win, men's volleyball is now 8-1 (2-0 in conference. Their only loss to #3 UC Irvine. They have wins against #11 Ohio State and #15 Purdue Fort Wayne. Next up is #11 Ball State.

Hm, looking at their schedule they play at Grand Canyon twice in mid-March. Maybe I'll head up to north Phoenix for one of those games.

Looked like guys ran out of gas against Ball State, playing on back to back nights, on the road. Won 1st set, blew a 24-20 lead in 2nd set, won 3rd set, but couldn't get a win in last two sets. They really looked poised to win this in 3 or 4 sets, but couldn't close the deal.

Still an impressive performance, but a blown chance to jump up in the polls.
