Mason women win by 7. Had a 14 pt lead with less than 2 minutes left, but committed some sloppy turnovers . Never seriously threatened in the last minute but some head-shaking and semi-scowl by VBL in the post-game handshake line. Need to clean some of that up.

On the positive side, Kennedy Harris shot well throughout and Mary Amaoteng (4 steals) had some big shots late in the game. St. Joe's shot poorly and trailed by 7 (or more) for what seemed like 90% of the game. Pretty good D from us + a fair amount just poor shooting.

Good win. Didn’t seem to ever be in doubt except for maybe that long cold streak to start the 3rd quarter.

Team looks legit now that they’re healthy but the haven’t played URI, Richmond, or Davidson yet. Those games will be a test on if they are a conference championship caliber team or not.

Agree - Komara getting healthy, Amoateng getting better every game and Walton/Harris being themselves = a contender.

It is unfortunate they did not have this cohesion for the OOC and maybe have built an at large resume, but I'm excited to see them keep improving and challenging for A10 championship again.

Next Sunday v Richmond is HUGE!

Amoateng is a rising star, for sure. Needs to cut down on some freshman mistakes--e.g. fouling 3 pt shooters, etc.--but is a great ball hawk. Briante Weber wanna be, only with better offensive moves. Hopefully continues to improve her cohesiveness with her teammates.
