You are, sadly, right...most probably. Although you never know.There will come a day, and it’s not far off, when Mason’s ability to invest in our NIL pool/coaching salaries will be outpaced by Tony’s rising stock and we will lose him.
The man is a damn fine coach, and unfortunately we are what we are as a program as a whole. Money will help, but a big boy is gonna come calling soon.
Still, if Tony leaves for bigger and better things and he becomes one of those big time coaches you see on TV all the time, he leads his team/s to Elite 8s, FFs, and Nattys, and retires and becomes a national broadcaster, I will be very happy for him. (Although at our respective ages, I may not be around for that last one.)
But I must say, I am hoping for at least 5 years from him.
