Maybe making a point? I would prefer they just subbed in all the walk-ons and freshmen and said foul them on every possession if you have to and make the starters watch from the portal.
That is the only thought that crossed my mind was to just let the humiliation happen. I don’t know what good it will do though. This team is lost.

GW playing a 7-man rotation and taking us to the rack over and over again.
Honestly, I would surrender the rest of the games and work on getting healthy for the conference tournament.

Let Mincy rest his hand through the end of the season and work giving other players time. Develop some bench.

They may or may not make the post season but they really need to work on getting healthy.

This coaching staff seems all of a sudden to be incapable of making any creative decision to stop the bleeding. And to be quite honest, it’s disturbing and scares me for next year.

I think Skinn's playing NOT to lose has translated to the team. They play scared and stiff..it's mental...he needs to relax let hem that they need to play relaxed.
The players know they’re done for now. Mincy’s hand injury is obviously affecting him and no one is coming close to his offensive production.

Ellington and Kanga
Sadly, they aren’t much better. Both get pushed around defensively and provide zero offense. Kanga will be really good, but he’s way overmatched as a freshman. All three of our bigs (mostly Riley) were abused by Hunger, and our guards were a turnstile defensively.

Teams have figured out that the key to defending us is to swarm Mincy and double Allenspach and hope Fatt and Long don’t beat them. Nobody else is a consistent factor on offense. The only upside to hitting rock bottom is we know Tony will be back next year.

I think he lost confidence in them defending at a high level and plays much more conservatively now. It shows. But even playing conservatively you can stay in front of your man, hold your position, box out and rebound. This team won’t even do the most fundamental things.

They have alot of talented on this team other than Mincy but Skinn has reverted dribble drive and not sharing the basketball. Players who were sharing the load are no longer getting the ball in scoring position.

You can't win when all 5 defenders can key on ONE scorer every time. The ball needs to move, get the defense to rotation and take advantage of open shots.

GW can key on Long, Fatts or Mincy because the ball never moves.

Also, None of the bigs were working for post position and making themselves targets to score.
That reduce the team to dribble drive.

Blown out by a Castro-less GW, every alarm bell is ringing right now. Patriot pressure is just an ad slogan at this point, there’s 2 guys on this roster who play any defense worth a damn. No flow to our offense, and Tony’s rotations and lineups have been downright nonsensical the last few games.

Mincy and Allenspach are clearly hurt, but no one behind them can step up.

I am absolutely disappointed with the coaching in the 2nd half especially the last 10 minutes.

The players giving up is one thing, the coaches who are paid to try and win games is another. I didn’t see any fire from them and it starts with Tony. The lack of subbing when they are getting clobbered is mind boggling.

The coaching staff packed it in and that is unacceptable.
