He hasn't started even practicing yet (last I heard), which should mean he couldn't possibly play any sooner than a couple weeks from now.

I can't imagine there is any chance he plays this year and wastes a year of eligibility for less than half of a season. He would certainly make our team better if he was playing (duh), but given our depth - it is not a bad year for him to sit out and red shirt.

We don't have any reason to think he wouldn't return next year - not like his stock is any higher than it was last year.

Having the potential of him along with Mincy, Riley, Malik, Stas, Booker and Kanga all returning next year would be a nice change of pace from a roster management standpoint (and there are potential waiver applications for Hill and Long as well).

That's why it would be a stealth unscouted move lol. I know it's really low probability, just wanted to stir up some discourse. O'Connor redshirting seems most likely, but it hasn't been declared yet...

I would be shocked if O'Connor plays on Saturday. To me its probably the game to surprise everyone, but I just dont' think he is going to play this year and will take the red-shirt.

I read their Mason game thread. All he said was Paul Hewitt was the reason for Mason's demise and it's taken 15 years for Mason to recover to get to this point.

I don't see that as talking Sh-t..more like a constructive critique which is accurate. I'm pretty sure if Mason had hired someone from Larranaga's staff (Caputo?) instead of Hewitt..who drove Georgia Tech into the ground...they would given themselves a better shot at maintaining success upon entering the A10.

Success always starts at the top..look what going from Jack Kent Cooke to Dan Snyder did to the skins. Sorry I will never call them the commanders.
