Great to see Dunkin’s and Fernandez shooting with confidence. I think this is what we all hoped to see more of from the freshmen earlier in the season. Also good to get Coop going early after his no-show in Norfolk.
Im all for our team having a guy named Dunkin. Hopefully he shares a like for Dunkin coffee.

It’s all part of the new NIL deal our players signed.

I hope the bench gets exercised well in the second half. 33 point lead is adequate for allowing learning mistakes.

Coppin State is absolutely formidable. Hell, literally every team in D1 is formidable. Eastern Illinois just beat Iowa in a buy game.

You want coach coming out and saying "Yeah Coppin State is awful. Should cruise to an easy 40 point win."? That just fires up the other team.
Hmmm lol, cruise to 40 point win.

Weird question. What's the beer policy at the arena? Sales are over at halftime, correct? That's what I was told at a stand the one game I attended this year, but I thought sales ended at the 12 minute media time out last year. I see people in the stands with plenty of beer left as this game winds down though. Perhaps they stocked up.

Glad Mason has had a game blow out win that allows my brain to ponder such significant questions.

GIVING DAY 2023
Very Happy with todays outcome. It’s obvious Coppin is feeling effects of a long hard nonconf and it helped us today. We didn’t feel sorry for them or sorry for ourselves coming off the tough loss from odu. I haven’t seen the boxscore but this is just off the top of my head.

Definitely liked what I saw on Sessoms as they cut off his penetration a lot in the beginning. He eventually got settled but he didn’t start off hot.

Glad that a lot of guys got extended run today, from Nnaji to Dinkins to Justyn. Thought a lot of the guys looked good at times (Dinkins especially), and that’s great to see.

Still not sure what’s wrong with Josh. He had a double double today, but at times still plays tentative and unsure. It’s almost like he wants to be more of a stretch 4 than a traditional 5? He’s overthinking and needs to just stick with what he’s good at. He was under the basket and still passed it out which was ridiculous. I’m glad he’s contributing but he still seems off.

Really like what I’m seeing out of Bailey. He’s starting to be more consistent and really fill it up. His defense is work in progress but I still like what I see.

Also enjoying what RP is continuing to do. I didn’t have any head scratching moments with him today (I’m sure there was at least one), but in general he’s much much improved and still tapping into potential. Having Dinkins to help him out will be great.

7-0 at home and a 8-5 nonconf. Not what we were hoping for, but I’ll especially take the 7-0 at home and 17-4 under Kim at home.

VBJ getting consistent will go a long way to us winning quite a lot of these games.

Dink is gonna be a player, which is very exciting to see.

I think it’s still flowing until the 12 min mark?

All we learned tonight is that we would be a hell of a MEAC team. If we didn't kick these guys a$$ all over the court I would be more worried than I already am. "A formidable opponent". LOL. A game like this should have been the first game of the season, not the 13th. Don't get me wrong, happy as hell we beat the sh&t out of someone. I just question whether this will help us as we enter league play. What did tonight show me? Play Ojiako more and play Dinkins more. Nothing to lose by doing so.
