Putting together a slate of away games to make it out to this year — for those of you that went to a lot last year, did you buy tickets through mason or the school hosting? Or secondary market? I’m heading down to ODU, Loyola, and looking at St Louis but want to get some decent seats and not sure how folks who traveled did it last year.

The short answer is, it depends.

The ticket blocks that the Mason ticket office is able to get tend not to be the best seats, but it's always worth checking with them first to find out what section they have, because a lot of times it can be the best value, and once in a while they do get good seats.

Buying from the opposing school directly is the best way to pick your seats, but it depends upon the opponent whether they will have any good seats available to the general public or if everything is sold/reserved for donors. Like at Auburn, there was absolutely nothing available at all.

Some schools hardly have any tickets on the secondary market, while others have a ton. For example, GW I usually buy at the last minute and can get them for like $10 on a resale site.
