Well. They fought all the way to the end. Chalk this one up to great defense and some tired legs. Those early season losses sting. Who knows what would have happened if they could have held off Temple, Liberty, and Princeton.

Still, a great season all around. Came within a few buckets falling from being repeated champion.

Win those and Mason gets the at large over Richmond IMO. The Q4 loss is particularly bad too. But the season's not over yet. The Patriots will get into one of the other two postseason tournaments, and that's an opportunity.

In a just world, all three teams make it in. The A10 is the 6th best conference this year, and URI, Richmond, and Mason proved they were the class of the A10.

Charlie Creme has only one team from the A-10 going if Mason wins. If Rhode Island wins, the Rams and Richmond are in. The Quad 4 wins I guess are the difference. Can't go only 2-1 against Q4 and get an at large over a team that went 5-0.
I don't understand the logic of this. Why on earth does Richmond NOT go to the NCAAs if Mason would have been the AQ, but does go when URI is the AQ?
