I stand corrected. If we get talent then why do we suck.

I think our coach might be stuck in the 90s tactically speaking? I don't know. I know he's a defense first coach and the defense hasn't been particularly good lately. It wasn't THAT long ago that we won the A-10 and made it past a very good W&M team in the first round of the NCAA tournament (that was 2013), and that was a really good defensive team with a really good goalkeeper.

Greg Andrulis used to coach the Columbus Crew and has been the head coach here since 2005. He's been to only 3 NCAA tournaments. I can't imagine keeping him around if this season is another stinker.

Do we offer the maximum amount of scholarships for men's soccer that the NCAA will allow?

Are the all the players on the team on a full scholarship? I read that only a certain amount of players in DI get athletic schollys which means programs have to divide the money amongst the team.

Also, amongst others, blew me away to learn U of Florida doesn't have mens soccer.

9.9 scholarships for the men's team is the maximum, but that's the same for every team.

blame Title IX for that... many colleges gave up soccer because of it. Florida, UMaine (and added field hockey to balance),

Don't know how accurate this list is but this was posted in 2015 on big schools with no mens soccer
University of Oregon (especially with Timbers so popular now)
University of Miami (has to be a load of talent in the area)
University of Florida and Florida State
University of Texas (I know Texas is a football state, but there is so much soccer talent in the state as well)
University of Missouri (shocking considering how popular sport is in St. Louis)
University of Southern California (?!? How an LA college cannot have men's soccer, I don't understand)
University of Arizona (you would think they would love soccer so close to the border)

I don't think ASU or NAU have men's soccer either.

85% of all men's soccer scholarships are given at the D2 level.
