I'd rather watch Moore drive for that last shot...at least if he looses the ball off his foot we can call it a "freshmen" mistake. I for one will be glad when we dump some of these guys off the roster. Nothing personal against the seniors but they just aren't and haven't been good enough.

Sherrod once again nowhere to be found. Allen dribbles the ball off his foot towards the end. Terrible possession out of the TO, typical.

I know Allen didn't get a lot of help today other than Patrick, but I'm not sure why he found the need to force things at the end. Just too many careless possessions down the stretch.

And I was a fan of some of the rotations the last two days and with starting Moore, but I agree with Jollay that Copes, Okoloji and Jenkins should never be out there together. It just limits us so damn much offensively.

Yup. Couldn't agree more. I kind of like Allen because he can do a lot of things fairly well, but he's just good enough to lose with. Can they send Dopes out too?

Yep - OSU beat Towson this year too. We couldn't beat the w/o their starting center. We lose to Hawaii on Christmas to go 0 and 3 in Hawaii.

The sad thing is I think we made some strides defensively, and we actually showed we can make some adjustments offensively when we were struggling with their zone. Then we resort to the same crap of giving up easy baskets, turning the ball over, taking bad shots and not being able to inbound the ball.

I mean, of course we're not going to frickin score down the stretch with those guys unless they get a garbage board or something. That puts a lot on our guards.

Okoloji got bailed out at 2 minutes on a lucky cheap foul or he would have bricked a shot. Copes seeing the floor on offense down the stretch after a 0 point, 2 rebound day is utterly mystifying.

I thought the comments at the end of the game about our seniors was a little unfair to Allen. Granted, he did have four of our 15 turnovers, but he also shot 60% from the floor and led us in scoring with 15 points.

Unfortunately, it was very spot-on about Sherrod, who missed 9 of his 11 attempts. In fact, if you take away Sherrod's stats, we shot 58% as a team. That's actually better than our piss-poor shooting from the FT line (55%).

We held Oregon State and Iowa State to 20 points under their scoring averages the last two games, but it doesn't matter if we don't get more production offensively. Tough to overcome when your best player scores 8 total points in those two games.

Sherrod didn't start because he's playing absolutely terrible basketball right now. Marko isn't playing much better.

Long-overdue tinkering with the roster. It's tough to notice after yet another loss, but we made some very good strides defensively the last two games. Also, Holloway and Moore got a lot more minutes, which I think is a great thing. Sherrod and Marko haven't played well either game, which led to the former getting benched and the latter getting less minutes.

We've actually played pretty good defense these last few games. Holding some powerful offenses in check for the most part.

I never thought offense would be an issue for this team. With Sherrod, Allen, JA all returning and adding in the support guys like Marko, PH, etc. Who knew that the JA debacle would happen and that Allen and Sherrod would be so wildly inconsistent.

I'm curious/frightened as to how we can score the basketball next season. Maybe Mayimba, Lockett, and Porter will surprise us offensively? If we don't land a kid who can flat out score, like Kobe Eubanks, next season will be horrendous just like this one. We can't rely on PH to score 45+ points a game, that doesn't even happen in dreams because he isn't Steph Curry.

We might be better on defense next season, but if we can't score consistently, especially when we need to score, it will be a longggg year next year. If this team can't score I just don't see how next years team scores either, unless something unexpected happens.
