Great to see Mason getting some votes in the latest AP Top 25 Poll. Saint Louis ranked 26 behind Seton Hall. Well they get more votes despite Loyola Chicago being 1-3 or will it take a win over GW 3-1 to get more respect like Saint Louis?

Need to win out over the next two weeks. We only play once this week so I don’t think without everyone ahead of us eating shit this week that it’s feasible to get in next Monday, but there will be enough ACC/SEC canibalization over a two week stretch that could allow us to sneak in if we go 3-0. Another big question is how many writers are willing to put multiple A-10 teams in there? I think if St. Louis steps on a land mine, we might pick up a lot of their votes, but in the long haul that’s bad for the very slim at large chance we’re still holding.

All of that is getting way ahead of things though. Gotta beat Loyola, and GW at home is gonna be a battle.

I'm thinking we want SLU to keep winning, until they play us at EBA at the end of the regular season. Let them keep climbing in the rankings. Their only loss (at Stanford) was a bit fluky--missed ft, rebound, and a 3 at the buzzer to lose by 1. So they are about as close to being undefeated as a team could be (vs us who lost to VT by 20).

I seriously doubt anyone voting for SLU would switch to voting for Mason with a bad loss by them without Mason continuing to win and win impressively.

Yeah I mean obviously we need to keep winning. I just have my doubts as to whether writers are going to put to A10 teams in the top 25.
