So we are paying way more but getting less? Great.A little more info on the Gold Room changes from the Patriot Club website:
Gold Room access will now be provided through a $750 annual donation per pass.
We are also transitioning from traditional buffet-style meals to a rotating selection of high-quality finger foods and convenient snacks, designed to enhance variety and guest satisfaction.
LOL. $750.A little more info on the Gold Room changes from the Patriot Club website:
We are making strategic updates to the Gold Room experience. As part of our commitment to enhancing the game day atmosphere and improving premium offerings, we are actively reimagining the Gold Room space to increase both the quality and functionality of the area. These enhancements aim to deliver a more engaging and enjoyable hospitality experience.
Gold Room access will now be provided through a $750 annual donation per pass. Your season ticket priority seat requirement is eligible to be applied toward the cost of your pass. For example, if your seat requires a $600 donation, an additional $150 would secure one Gold Room pass. Passes are available up to the number of season tickets possessed, and additional passes may be requested for an additional Patriot Club donation, based on availability.
We are also transitioning from traditional buffet-style meals to a rotating selection of high-quality finger foods and convenient snacks, designed to enhance variety and guest satisfaction. Guests can also enjoy exclusive beverage offerings, including the Brave & Bold Commonwealth IPA.
People who are in the Gold Room, or who are considering pony'ing up for the Gold Room, need to stop complaining about the food, etc. Just grab a beer, wine, or soda and be happy. Consider your donation as a way to help the team and not consider it a way to beat the ridiculous cost of concessions. Can you get some food and then not have to buy an overpriced hot dog. Yes! Is that why you buy into the Gold Room. No! As it is, the last time the Gold Room had food I really liked was when the Vienna Inn chili dogs and the Hard Times Café chili Mac were in the rotation. I dislike most of the food there now which is why I pregame the Gold Room over at Oh George's with a couple of other GMU die hards and often pay for food there even knowing I could get dinner across the street. They are changing food options to accomplish a couple of things: 1) create more space by removing the buffet serving area and lines, 2) reducing costs to minimize the price increase.
I was contacted by and spoke with the Patriot Club and the ticket office in great detail about all the things we have complained about for years, and they are proactively trying to implement changes to address those differences while increasing revenue. You know revenue, the thing that actually provides us with good players, upgrades to the facilities, etc.
The reality is that with the food being offered, the gold room was underpriced while also not providing a fully enjoyable experience. You paid expecting a sit down dinner, but there were too many people and no place to sit.
Now there is a slight reimagining - more space, possibly less people, less costs (food), and higher overall revenue.
Yet, the bitching continues.
