I know I've been hard on Ronnie, but I thought he had one of his better games of the year (the three turnovers notwithstanding). I really like that Kim is paring him with Singleton and Dinkins more, because it lets him play off the ball more where he excels. When guys like Polite, Cooper and Fernandez are driving, it really opens things up more for Josh and shooters on the perimeter.

Imagine how good this team could be if Josh, Cooper, Ticket, Polite, Bailey and Fernandez all played well in the same game. In the last game we won because Justyn's 15 points overcame Ticket's 0-7 from the floor. Tonight, we won without Justyn scoring a single point. This team could be really dangerous come tourney time if Bailey returns and we get all of our main guys showing up on the same night.

What is also great to see is KE learning. These adjustments we see, will come sooner in the future.

Impressed with the tailgate. I like the carnival games and alumni tent. $38 bucks for unlimited food and 5 drinks. Not bad. Just wish they didn’t shut the tent down at 2:45

I havent watched the game yet because I wasn’t home all day, but I’ve got two things to say before I get home and start watching.

1) Let’s go!!!!!!!!!!
2) Make your damn free throws and make it easier on yourselves!

Had a great time seeing many of you at the tailgate and gold room. Have to say I think the alumni tent is a nice idea but that it’s really a waste. I wanted to drink and eat, and had to drink in the “drink area”. I’m guessing it’s some rule but I don’t get the big deal.

Pleasantly surprised at how big and that the crowd got into the game towards the end. Our students need work and I know it’s being worked on. Kim wants to buy the students food for standing up half the game against Fordham.

lasalle has really good guards and somehow we gutted it out. They got by us a lot but we got stops when it mattered.

other thoughts

Ronny hit a huge 3 late which basically sealed the game.
Tickets and 1 was the loudest that I’ve heard EBA in a long time.
They were very physical with Josh down low, and it bothered him but he still got his points.
Singleton is quietly doing everything other than scoring.
He defends, gets a key rebound or 50/50 ball, and just plays with good energy.

Somehow, someway, Mason is right in the thick of things and most likely will be out of the PIG. I’d love to take the 6th or 7th spot.

Looks like Mason could be only a half game out from 5th place with a St. Louis win tonightS
When it didn't look possible, stunningly 5th is a very legit possibility. Beat Fordham and Spidey, while Fordham loses on final day to Dusqy probably sees us in 5th (unless Bona wins out then that screws with the math)

Today's tailgate party was HUGE!!! Alumni tent was pretty good. Tasty food. The beer selection was weak, though. Weather was perfecto!

Our students are so friendly. Talked to a few of them and they were excited to converse with us alums—good kids!

Our student-fans REALLY need some work. Only a few stood during the game and never for very long. It's going to take quite a rebuild there. Winning more will help, as we already surmise. I hope CKE will work that angle this off-season. Why not hire a fan-relations coordinator or graduate assistant?

Fun game. Yes, LaSalle looked sharp. Coach Fran certainly still has it going on. We were lucky to get the W. Glad we got it!

Take at least two out the last three and we're generally right where the preseason prognosticators predicted.

Josh played great, he definitely had a chip on his shoulder as he was getting the crap hacked out of him. 25 points, seven rebounds and three steals.

More pics up on my photo blog. You can get to it via the link in my sig. Enjoy!

I was happy to see them bring Beer/Wine/Tastings back into the Alumni tent - now bring back the open bar that the "indoor tailgates" had! I agree the separation of food and bar area was odd but you could go get food and bring into bar area. I thought the Tailgate section in the Parking Lot was the largest I have seen at a Homecoming in the past 10 years. I'm not sure all those people tailgating actually went to the game. It was a good crowd in EBA but that parking lot was over flowing and student section had good turn out but not over flow....

Interesting that they would have allowed me to take my food into the drink section but not Vice versa. I was quickly stopped when I tried to get more food with a beer in my hand. Would have been nice if the guy said put it down and bring food over. Really doesn’t matter as I won’t be doing the tent again, just not really worth it if you have gold room already or other pregame festivities to be apart of.

Homecoming is one the best days of the year. Thanks to everyone who swung by the tailgate today
Thanks for the hospitality. Here is my belated review of your wings:
Taste was excellent. They were very moist and tender. Cooked to perfection. Can’t beat the price. Atmosphere was the best. Overall grade A+!

Thanks!

This was the first game all season that I felt proud of the team's effort. La Salle came in like true road warriors and played the way I wish we would.

Our guards played tough, and shout out to Coop especially with the 9 boards. Polite did a bit of everything too. We won the turnover battle, and didn't completely sh*t the bed on free throws.

That was a hard fought victory, and I hope we can carry some momentum forward.
