Great defense on both of those possessions and great use of the foul to give. Very gritty win.

The guys played really hard tonight. J2 with a put-back dunk?! When has that ever happened? So frustrating that we are extremely inconsistent player-to-player and game-to-game.

Dominant game by our bigs. Proud of the effort. I have a feeling this is what game will look like next year. Good on the refs to let both teams play too.

Gonna be a difficult half -- if I were LaSalle, I'd press us more than just in the half-court. Cory doesn't handle that well and we really don't have a pg. Playing BA there just minimizes his offensive game.

Hmmm--so what do I know. LaSalle didn't even seem give us a lot of pressure in the half-court in the second half. Was that because we were getting inside pretty successfully?

Seems like pressuring the ball in the first half led to a lot of our turnovers. Was it a function of them needing to play bigger guys (presumably less mobile) because we were killing them on the boards? Inquiring people want to know!

Definitely nice to see we can win a game on a night when Sherrod and Allen shoot a combined 5-20. We needed the double-digit contributions from Marko and Patrick, and hats off to Copes for snagging 10 boards despite being in obvious pain. Very gutsy performance.

Their last possession looked like our old team.
Hold the ball and force a bad shot.

BA and SW combined for 15 pts?
I'm glad our bigs stepped up.

I wonder what we'd look like if we all showed up for the same game.

Say what you want... This team did not mail in games despite a losing record. The young guys are learning that it takes this kind of effort to win in this league. I predict they'll remember that and 2014-2015 will be one of the best bounce back years in GMU history!

Kudos to Van Gundy for acting like this was such a great game. Good win for Mason!

I kind of like SVG as color guy--granted it wasn't an artistic success of a game, but I don't remember either team being ahead by more than 4 the whole second half--so it was competitive. And justifiably he did question many of the refs non-calls. They didn't seem to call anything underneath on either side. That hurts Wright's and Allen's drives.

Was LaSalle really in line for an NIT bid with just a couple of more wins? What's their rpi?
