I don't see any issues with us staying an extra day or so due to the weather. It might actually help the team unwind a bit not to rush back and be thrown back into their home schedules.

This is a good point, PDGL. A little extra bonding time on the road can't hurt. Maybe Hewitt can take them to a luau.

Disagree. Hewitt will probably make them practice on an outdoor court.

Homecoming this year is so important to the fanbase stability after the debacle last year. I'd almost rather take a forfeit at UMass than have our prep for St. Bonnie's be influenced in any way.

"Don't have a very good vibe for this game. I think Chaz Williams will go off on us and score 30 points. HOWEVER, we have Jalen Jenkins the man-child! We keep the winning going and keep the champagne flowing! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Goodguys 73
Bedroom Minutemen 70 "

From the George Mason blog. The poster has a Ric Flair icon. Chuckled at his post.

Overall feeling from the Mason board is pessimistic. Hope we play a sound 40 minutes and get our 20th. No reason to look forward to GW, get this one first.

sportsbook.ag is saying we are 11 point underdogs.

Vegas Insider has 77% betting on Mason.

145 1/2 is the over/under.

Here are what I would say are the basic problems with Hewitt over the second half of his tenure at GT. Whether you want to classify these as X's and O's is up to you.

1. A lack of player development, especially with guards. Pretty straightforward, but the guys that came in never seemed to be any better when they left than they were when they arrived, which leads to...

2. A lack of cohesiveness on offense. Players made stupid mistakes, were out of position, or just generally seemed unaware of what they were supposed to be doing on the offensive end. Many many stupid shots. Gani Lawal made up for this by being a rebounding machine (as did Favors in his one year) but overall the offense lacked flow and purpose.

3. The aspect that worries me most about the hire is that over the course of the last few years Hewitt seemed to become frustrated to the point that it seemed like he had given up, or as if he had simply been beaten into submission. Litos brought this up in his recent caahoops post and it is my biggest concern. Does Paul Hewitt still have whatever fire he had when he first came to GT? Does he still have the passion to get the players to play hard. His teams at GT the last couple of years rarely showed sustained effort. And that is a big problem. Maybe the change of scenery helps Hewitt get back whatever he lost. But that is my biggest concern about him.

That is a quote from one of gmubrian's favorite posters of all time. Even though it is anti-Hewitt, gmubrian still loves smurf. So what is the point of quoting this? So, gmubrian obviously has some good juju since he got us our first ever A10 win last week with all of his positive vibes. But, after reading smurf's post above, smurf obviously put a curse on Hewitt from the start, since everything he said is coming true. So, gmubrian is concerned that smurf's juju might be better than gmubrian's juju.

Gmubrian is doing everything gmubrian can, but, the outcome of this game comes down to whose juju is more powerful, smurf's or gmubrian's.

Seems like almost every school has a legit online video feed for their home games. I really don't understand why it's so hard for Mason to figure this out. You never know the score, game clock, shot clock, etc etc. when we had our "feed".
