So you are kicking Arledge off the team?

From what people have said the dude has a bad back. He's 6'9". You ever had a bad back? They don't heal up over night not at 6'9" anyway.

When he gets back on the floor, I'll change my line up. Until then his "day to day" might as well be "week to week" "month to month". He didn't even travel to Texas. Let's see if he plays Tuesday or travels to the next two road games. If he doesn't, I think it will be a long time before we see Mr Arledge on the floor. Or I'm completely wrong and he'll drop 20 and 10 vs St Francis on Tuesday.

Come on, man. You started your initial post with the caveat "when healthy," so just admit you forgot to include him. I agree back injuries can linger, but I feel confident he will be back before Copes, and you found a way to include him in your 11-man rotation.

Let's agree that we need to get Allen and Arledge back very soon.

didn't forget. Copes has a certain return date--the 7th game of the season. Allen even said he'd be back "Saturday" (vs Iona).

What have any of us heard that makes you think Arledge will be back before Copes? Maybe you're right, but I think Copes plays again before Arledge. I don't think Arledge is healthy.

That's a pretty big assumption to be making based on no information. If Arledge was going to miss a significant amount of time (and 4 weeks at a minimum based in your prediction would be significant) we would have heard something more than day to day from Hewitt by now I'm sure.

And it's not odd at all that we haven't heard anything? No one knew he didn't fly to Texas until the game notes came out. When did he hurt his back? Does it come and go? Did it hurt that bad when he jumped over a guy and dunked in the AU game? If we spent as much time looking into this as we did the HD video capabilities of the Patriot Center we may know something by now.

Where did you see that?
Bryon was one of two players providing autographs after the game Saturday. Someone asked him and that was his answer. He was signing my kid's things at the time, so I was well within ear shot.

Don't know anything about Arledge, but I haven't changed my thoughts earlier in the thread provided his injury is just day to day. He should be a starter until he is outplayed by a recovering JW or Copes more than earns his way back into the rotation.

I think I'll go with what the coach says. He seems like a honest guy. If Allen and Arledge are 'day to day', then that's what we can guage their injuries upon. Not the assumptions stated on this board.

Coach Hewitt (in reading the blog on the gomason.com site) said if it were a championship game Allen would have played. There is no mention if it had been a championship game Arledge would have played.

Doesn't that say enough?

I stand by the prediction. Copes sees game action before Arledge does.

'When healthy' Arledge will be a part of the rotation. Just correcting an error you made. I don't necessarily disagree that Copes' suspension will be over before Arledge is back, but that's up to the medical team, trainers, and Arledge himself.

Hopefully, Arledge and Allen will be back from injury and healthy asap.

I hope Edwards gets to sit, but I don't think it's likely. Hewitt is holding on to the hope that Edwards is good at something.
