Benefits A10 schools often as well if they have coaches that are willing to utilize it.

Blake Francis, Ryan Daly, Lasalle will have two studs next year off it, Bishop for St Joe's... we just have someone that doesn't believe in it or is just living in the past... definitely easier for P5's... but other A10 schools can benefit too

I hear ya.

I'd think of he stayed at Mason and put up good numbers he'd get the same opportunities in Europe that he'll get from Michigan. Transfer portal really sucks for mid-majors these days. P5 teams can be assured of bringing in another stud to replace the one leaving.

Maybe he just wants to be at a big name basketball school that doesn't take away snacks and soda on the plane to help cover the cost of the charter flight for games.

I get what you are saying, obviously if he averages 18pts a game in the Big Ten he will get more looks. But if he averages 18pts in the A10 he will be 1st Team Conference (maybe conference player of the year) and people will know who he is. I don't think he is going to score that much considering his highest season average is 14.5 but I hope he does. I mean hell, Obi Toppin only averaged 20pts a game and was National Player of the year and is going to be a top 15 pick in the draft. Do you think that if he played at Michigan that his stock would be any higher...I don't. But I hope Justin starts every game next season, scores a lot of points, and gets looks at the NBA.
Some of us thought Hancock would ride the bench at Louisville.

Sometimes you just have to take a chance. You can’t live a life of wondering, what if

Here come the trolls....

Not trolling. I predicted last offseason that mason would finish bottom half and you backed out of your bet. Kids run hard and play hard for Paulsen, but the system is broken. Let's be honest for a minute here, kier must have seen what happened to grayer who went to a better school but didnt get any PT. Shot himself a chance to be seen. Do we really think kier will get massive PT at a larger school after coming off injury. Probably not, his best chance for his post college career was to stay at Mason with a starting spot in a good conference, get stats and sign overseas. Unless he was guaranteed a starting spot elsewhere there has to be a reason why he didnt want to come back to Mason even though he loved it.

Or he thinks he is better than he really is.

based on his mixtapes alone, I would rather have 4 years of Otis than 1 year of Kier. We can adjust without Kier.

Otis appears to have a pretty nice list of offers.

Grayer started 27 games and played the 4th most minutes on TCU last season. He got plenty of PT

Georgia, Minnesota and NC State are his three finalists, for anyone who cares.

Meh. Meh. Meh. Can’t believe he’s not going to Michigan.

Hoping he picks Georgia so I can see him play at Tennessee next year.

Thats a pretty surprising final 3 to me. Whats the draw to each place? Seems like all 3 are perennial mid to bottom dwellers in their conferences. I guess NC State and Minnesota have done okay under their current head coaches. Tom Crean hasn't done much yet at Georgia.

Did Paulsen touch his leg or something?

This stunk before but now it super stinks. He just wanted to get away. Guessing he didn't have executable offers for all his top schools based on this list.
Can’t speak to the others, but Athens, GA is a quintessential college town. Totally different experience from Fairfax.

N.C. State is in the triangle with UNC and Duke. Minnesota is in Minneapolis, which is a really cool city. But Minnesota and Georgia aren't basketball schools, and N.C. State is the little brother to the other two. So, it's one thing for him to go to a Butler or a Michigan, it's another to just go to a P5 school because it's P5.

Took the words out of my mouth. I’m gonna let this one marinade a bit and see where he ends up before I throw out my final thoughts on the Kier saga.
